I think somebody posted here once a long time ago the keyboard player from Dream Theater demonstrating a keyboard that was actually a continuous control surface with support for x and y tracking as well as pressure sensing. This is a Kickstarter for a similar idea, but also available in a self-installed kit flavor that you can add to your own keyboard. Pretty cool stuff. Maybe MIDI horns/strings will sound a lot less fake soon when this kind of input becomes ubiquitous and you can more easily mimic subtle volume/pitch changes...

That looks awesome, but there's no way I can afford it right now. Ah well.

After a monstrously long wait, my Novation Impulse 25 with TouchKeys arrived from the UK. It's extremely cool, and works just as advertised.

Cool! Care to post a review or some demos when you've had more time to try it out?
