Building a home mastering studio

Post by Billy's Little Trip »

If anyone subscribes to Ian Shepard's Production Advice may have seen this. He is a professional mastering engineer and producer and of course works in a pro studio. But he has a new house and is turning a one car garage into a home mastering studio. He's going to do a step by step as he builds it in a series of videos. I'll post the videos in this thread as they get posted to his site. Or anyone that subscribes can as well.

Here is the first one.

Well, there doesn't seem to be much interest in the studio build as I thought there would. Must just be me that's interested in this stuff. But I guess I'll keep posting the steps here as Ian keeps posting them, for those that don't want to subscribe to his channel. ;)

Yeah, that caught my interest too. I honestly never thought about that. But after seeing and hearing why, it makes perfect sense.
