Small PA Systems

Post by Caravan Ray »

Been thinking for a while about getting a small PA setup to maybe start doing some pub shows and actually getting paid for it. Had been considering the Yamaha Stagepas things - which are a compact everything in one box sort of thing.

Was browsing in a shop the other day, and a bloke I know who has seen me play and knows what I do told me: "you gotta get one of these":

Heaps more power and more flexibility than the Stagepas

I am pretty impressed. Small, light and loud as buggery.

Got a guitar and mic input on the back. I used it the other night at a work function, and plugged my macbook with USB interface into it so I could use the compression and EQ effects from garageband. Very happy indeed.

This is big enough to do most of the pubs I would play at, maybe using my little fender guitar amp for foldback. But maybe down the track I could buy a second and link them - pretty sure that would cover all eventualities I would ever find myself in.
