"The New Audio Podcast" is a forum for iZotope to have candid, spirited, and informal conversations with audio engineers, producers, and musicians. We'll get to the bottom of the things, chat about industry trends, music, and even meet some of iZotope's talented core of audio professionals. If you like well-informed and wide-ranging discussions about the world of audio, this podcast is for you.

Episode 1
In this, the inaugural episode of "The New Audio Podcast," iZotope talks with GRAMMY-winning indie-rock producers John Congleton and Dave Fridmann. The conversation ranges wide across production philosophy, the loudness wars, the sonic quality of plug-ins, and even, dare we say it, iZotope.

John Congleton
John Congleton is a GRAMMY-winning American producer/engineer/mixer/writer. He runs Elmwood Recording in Dallas, Texas and fronts the band The Nighty Nite. As one of the most prolific indie rock producers of the past ten years, Congleton has worked with St. Vincent, The Walkmen, Modest Mouse, Angel Olsen, Swans, The Thermals, Sigur Ros, Franz Ferdinand, Sparks, Chelsea Wolfe, and Nelly Furtado.

Dave Fridmann
Dave Fridmann is an American record producer and musician. From 1990 onwards he co-produced all releases by Mercury Rev and The Flaming Lips. Other bands he's worked with include: Weezer, Saxon Shore, Neon Indian, Wolf Gang, Ammonia, Ed Harcourt, Sparklehorse, Mogwai, Thursday, Mass of the Fermenting Dregs, The Delgados, Low, Phantom Planet, Gemma Hayes, and Sleater-Kinney. He has recently worked on new recordings with MGMT, Neil Finn,The Cribs, OK Go, Tame Impala, and Spoon.
