Bon Iver - I,I
Why? - AOKOHIO
Marika Hackman - Any Human Friend
Haiku Salut - The General
The Regrettes - How Do You Love?

Why? would have been immensely exciting to me ten years ago but I haven't really gotten on with their recent releases. Not immediately excited about any of these to be honest, I think I might just carry on listening to David Berman's music and feeling sad

Nothing really... I may give Slipknot's "We Are Not Your Kind" a quick spin seeing that I'll be going to see them live (really just going for Behemoth & Gojira) in a few weeks here. It came out a couple weeks ago, but I've been giving The Raconteurs new album Help Me Stranger a few listens... not as bad as I was expecting it to be... though it's fairly derivative... I can point out all of the Queen/Sabbath/Lynyrd Skynyrd riffs/influences right away...

One of my best friends from way back is based in LA. His band released a new single. Their debut EP came out earlier in the year.

Which Wave - https://www.whichwave.net

LA psych rock, with bands like Love and the Brian Jonestown Massacre as touchpoints.

Yeah, it sounds really great, the production is very tasty. Sadly I'm not very moved by the songwriting. :/ It kind of all just washes over me. But I would like to steal a lot of production ideas from this for sure.

I've been enjoying the Haiku Salut album as very good background music for working from home.
