New Music Friday - 9/6/19

Post by ken »

Looks like a lot of releases from the ladies this week:

Bats for Lashes - Lost Girls
MUNA - Saves the World
Frankie Cosmos - Close it Quietly
The Highwomen - the Highwomen

What are you going to check out today?

PS - I started listening to the new Bon Iver album this morning on headphones, which seems to be the way records like this get me. Really interesting. I have no idea how to make music like it.
Ken's Super Duper Band 'n Stuff - Berkeley Social Scene - Tiny Robots - Seamus Collective - Semolina Pilchards - Cutie Pies - Explino! - Bravo Bros. - 2 from 14 - and more!

i would just like to remind everyone that Ken eats kittens - blue lang

I've been listening to Frankie Cosmos, it's a pretty good album but I'm not sure it really needed to be 21 tracks long. Pick the best ones, Frankie!

There's also a new single today by Ellis Jones' new band, if anyone was into Trust Fund then it's that guy. They've got the somewhat infuriating name "Podcasts" (or "Podcasts (OSL)" on Spotify, presumably because otherwise finding them would be impossible) but the songs are great.

Also going to check out the new instrumental Darren Hayman album and maybe Bat for Lashes, I've never been a big fan but the new album sounds kinda interesting.
