Black Music History Library

Post by ken »

Writer Jenzia Burgos curated this incredible library of Black music history resources and readings.

The library contains thousands of entries – books, articles, podcasts, broadcasts, films, and docuseries – that detail the Black origins of essentially every music genre and their subgenres.⁣

Whether you're a musician or just a fan of music in general, this is a must-visit resource and starting point to self-educate.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this ... but I thought the choice of Curtis Mayfield’s “Move On Up” for the announcement of the VP lady was quite inspired. I hate seeing music used badly - but that was a good one.
