Glenn Case - Nur Ein

Post by GlennCase »

A while ago, Puce mixed and remastered my Nur Ein entries from 2006. I've been sitting on these for a while, but I decided to go ahead and share them with you as of today.

Oh, and stay tuned. This might not be the only album I release today...

This is a load of work, Glenn. Brilliant mixes by Puce. Wow! Holy Crap!

BTW - the "original mix" links for Don't Go To and Like a Villain are crossed.

Heh. I love what Puce did to the mixes, so I guess you could say that I am digging myself. It just seemed like an appropriate place for this thread, despite the fact that it helps me to come off as more stuck on myself than I actually am.

Glad you're liking what you hear, thanks for taking time to listen, and thanks for the heads up. I'll get that fixed.

ROCK!

Sounds great Glenn. I keep listening to the mix to see if I can pick out the engineering aspects. Damn good production.

Wow, so many things I would have done differently. Isn't that always the way?: you think you know what you're doing, and then 6 months later you look back and go "what was I thinking?". That said, I still like how Sleeper and Condescending Prick came out.

One quick question, glenn: I noticed you dropped the volume on all the songs so that they are now roughly the same. For instance, El Balazo used to be noticeably louder than the rest of the album ('cause it rocks), but now it's in the middle of the pack, level-wise. That's not really a question, but was this intentional?

It's been far too long for me to remember how these songs' sounds compare to the originals (and I don't have time right now to go back) but these sound great! Nice to come back to them after all this time. I was just particularly enjoying the vocal effects on LaV.

Heh, Puce, I just realized you have a wacky wordie in your sig. Good work!

I'll have a listen - I recall liking all your entries to that Nur Ein. I don't think I could save my Nur Ein 1 entries even if I had superpowers. :D
