Well, If I stick with my actors - they are not mainly known for acting, but are indeed actors.

This challenge has certainly been just that.

Nur Ein!!

{edit: I'm not sure if either of the above are sentences, but they say what I mean.]

Reist just reminded me.

If you are entering a song into round zero, please also send me a band pic.

Okay, song and a 400x400 pic sent off. Don't know if 400x400 is the size you want, but that seems to be the official size of songfight! photos, other than those Nevada travel pics...

Niv, if there is not an autoreply thing set up on that email account, could you at some point (before the deadline) post a list of entries that have been received so we can make sure our mail got to you?

Thanks,
Charles

Am I missing something...or is that extra credit or per a request thats not listed in this thread? I just want to make sure I'm not supposed to be sending in 400x400 cover art...

Look up about two posts... if we're entering round 0, Niv wants us to send a "band picture" to use on the webpages. I have no idea whether 400x400 is the size he wants.

I don't think anything has been said regarding "cover art" for the Nur Ein songs... Niv, are you looking for that, too?

I hope I'll have to worry about creating an image for this.

No cover art needed for Round Zero. It's the no-frills round.

Argg!

So "name drop" - I keep struggling with how literally to take the meaning of that to meet the challenge.

Can "name drop" mean anything other than "mention someone famous by name"?

Usually it is said with the purpose of impressing your audience, no? Implying "I have this connection with someone famous" and that makes me important.

I guess you'll all just have to interpret it the best you can and then throw yourselves on the mercy of the judges. Ha ha ha.

With all due respect, I would like to submit "no guitar" and "six minutes" as worse than this.

Isn't "mercy of the judges" and oxymoron? :-)

I get the feeling Lunkhead is enjoying being on the other side of this a bit too much!!!

Okay, back to the studio.

I disagree. But whatever, I worked it in. I would just hate to see someone with a good song get disqualified for not using an actor's name in their song. That would be stupid, indeed.

My philosophy is that if someone finds an inventive, non-literal way to satisfy a challenge, they get bonus points from me.

I can't speak for the other judges, though.

Here's a recommendation for everyone. Don't try to learn all new equipment and software and enter a songwriting competition where you only have a few days to write and record the song. Also, don't have a job.

I have to stop working on this now and all I can do is beg you Puce to please please please not criticize my mix this time.
