Yeah, not sure what's supposed to be so creative/innovative about someone who just hits cymbals instead of hihats on every beat.

I love lateralus and Tool, but I don't find Danny intriguing. He doesn't do anything I find interesting. I don't know if I've posted this before, but Gavin Harrison is more exciting to watch, IMO. He thrashes around a lot less. And he's the tightest drummer around, especially with the kick. You should just watch the video and you'll know what I mean.
Yeah, Gavin Harrison is awesome for sure.

And does fills every bar. That kind of bothers me. Every four bars is even a bit much, but every bar is just bothersome (especially to watch).

Well, he was doing a solo in that vid. But yes, he is a very energetic drummer. That's what I like about him. Two drummer that I've always thought that were in marching band in school are Danny Carey and John Stanier.

If we're talking about drummers, though, there's really only one consensus... Buddy Rich. That solo makes me dizzy.

If we're talking about jazz drummers, you mean. So many knowledgeable drummers give me the Buddy Rich talk. Yes, he's amazing - but to tell the truth, he hasn't really influenced me.

Gene Krupa on the other hand ... :) This video makes me smile every time. I wish I could be him.

Split Enz was mentioned on the boards a few weeks ago, and while searching for 'I Got You' just now, I found this little gem.

Charlie! You know how you say I play guitar like a Japanese video game? I swear, when the guitar player started his solo at the 2:16 mark on the Korean drummer vid, he was breaking into something I'd do.
....do Koreans make vidjya games?

Okay so after like 1 1/2 years I've done another levitation video. My first video only got 1 comment and they said the view was messed up to where I could have easily pulled myself up with my arms.

So anyway, I finally decided to prove ppl wrong by showing my hands while in the middle of levitating. I still have really crappy angles (cuz my webcam cord only goes so far and I kinda have to show the feet) but it's proof that I'm not using my hands/arms.

btw, the original levitation is here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFaiZk8zAFU

It has better lighting, and I'm levitating a little higher.
From spoken word to actual singing, I can screw up any style with style. :D

The way that your leg swings to turn off the camera tells me that you're using one leg next to a mirror. IE: The leg closest to the camera moves towards the cam, while the far leg moves away.
