hey, I'm planning on taking that Friday off as well and just hang out in the Tampa area, weather is chillin @ breadbox studios, or driving around and fishing.

I'll be posting the roster for the poster here by tomorrow.

What I NEED though is this:

Anybody who needs a ride from the airport or any other commercial port will need to give me their arrival time.

Right now I only know that Paco is coming in around 12:30ish on Friday the 15th and he hasn't really asked for a ride even after offered. (If I'm incorrect and you need a ride Paco, lemme know)

Oh, I hope I wasn't rude, Hoblit. Thanks for the offer, but I'll hoof it. If it rains or whatever, I'll take a cab. I'm sure you have plenty of running around to do anyway, but thanks again. It's coming up quick, peoples!

NAH no no no, not rude at all... I completely understand. When I arrived in Boston, I tooled around for a few hours doing things *I* wanted to do before I took trains and buses to Cambridge to Jam Spot where everybody was meeting up and practicing.

I was only mentioning you because you were the only one addressed so far. (Erik has since contacted me since that post) The rest is simply observation.

I'm not all like:
YOU ARE WELCOME TO WALK... I didn't want to give you a ride anyways!

i'm going to send you an email later today confirming all my logistical travel related stuff chris, but in a nutshell, i do not need a ride from the airport on friday. i just booked a room for friday that has a free airport shuttle. about $90 with tax through expedia.

depending what time i get in, i might want to hang with folks, but with the airlines these days, i'd rather keep my schedule flexible on friday. saturday, i'm at the hampton inn in ybor city.

Ha, I used to literally work RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET from that hotel @ Traffic Pulse, traffic.com in the 1211 building. GREAT JOB, terrible hours.

There is a strip club next door to you and another one up the street a little ways...so good work there. (they are both upscale)

Anyways, just let me know if you need a ride at any given time. Westshore area is relatively close, I can get down there in about 15 minutes from my apartment. (if you're not too busy with the strip clubs)

Yeah, I've been meaning to get the poster made and the performers order and what not.

MC wreckshin, cool...glad to have you. Are you going to be performing?
I'm pretty sure we can fit you in time wise.

DRE: bring the guitar stands but keep them in your trunk in case we need them. I've got guitar stands and what not but I don't know who all is bringing their own stuff. We don't want to get them mixed up with my stuff.

I'll post later today with a bit more information.

If there is a problem with the order then speak up, I'm not married to this line-up. This line up is still in suggestion mode (excepting first & last positions)

So far its:

ACTS: (all time slots are estimates)
Doors open @ 5pm
5:30 - Paco Del Stinko
6:05 - The Lord of Oats
6:40 - Andre @ Midnight
7:15 - Jack Shite
7:50 - Emergency Pizza Party
8:25 - 15/16 Puzzle
9:00 - John Benjamin Band
9:35 - Hoblit / Ghost Town Gridlock
10:15 - LIVE FIGHT - Title: Calico Alley

(EDIT: Time slots changed. Each act gets 35 minutes..some will go under while some will go over, I fully anticipate that this schedule will fluctuate.)

IF I have missed someone, SPEAK UP.

The time slots are loose, if someone runs over it will not be a big deal. I just wanted there to be a little extra time for set up and the break down.. The rental agreement is 3:30 to 12:30 and the schedule above allows comfortable lead times. That way we can all socialize and have drinks before and after the acts and ease into the break down. 12:30 is a great time to get out because this leaves 2 more hours of Ybor City partying. Its too bad Jeff Fal (ADD) can't be here to puke on Tampa's city streets! (although I have no yard for him to hang onto so that he doesn't fall off of the earth)

There will be posters for keep sakes.

I had everybody at 45 minutes. However, JB just brought something to my attention. LIVE FIGHT. I have totally forgotten to allocate time for that.

So ...

ACTS: (all time slots are estimates)
Doors open @ 5pm
5:30 - Paco Del Stinko
6:05 - The Lord of Oats
6:40 - Andre @ Midnight
7:15 - Jack Shite

This gives everybody 35 minutes to set up, play, and get off stage for the MC to announce the next guy(s). Break down should barely count because all the same equipment will be on stage and set up already with the exceptions of personalized instruments. (laptops, keyboards etc...)

Yeah, I expect that a few acts will not use up the time. Thats ok, thats more time for the live fight.

It'd matter more if ya'll actually had a stadium crowd in tow. Then your fans would all show up late and miss your entire set because we got ahead of the scheduled times. Riots would ensue.

However, I think we can keep things loose and if we get TOO far ahead, we can take a break and do shots!

JB, should I announce the LIVE FIGHT Title here? (Or should I wait for official change on .org?)

also chris (and others)......

since i'm staying pretty close to where JB is staying on Friday night, is there anything to do nearby that area on Friday night?

i'm supposed to get in around 6pm, but we all know how on time the airlines are, and i still have to catch a shuttle to the hotel. i'm guessing after all is said and done, i should be jumping in the hotel pool around 8pm friday. i can call you (chris) when i get in to the hotel.

maybe people can come hang out by me and JB on Friday night?

I would LOVE to go swimming! I know you didn't directly offer that but that is something I love to do and would be happy just doing that. (Instead of having to drive all the way down to my Aunt's house in St. Petersburg whenever I get the urge)

Also, there is Westshore Plaza Mall just a block or two with a movie theater. (Dark Knight?)
There are a few restaurants (and you'll be happy to know that there is a Waffle House right there too) and of course I've already mentioned the strip clubs. All of this within hiking distance.

I'd have no problems hanging out down ya'lls way. (its about a 15 minute drive down Kennedy ((Blvd.))from my apartment) And there's room enough for Erik in my car. Dre'll be in town so maybe he'll help drag Paco or anybody else who needs a ride down there.

For now, use the number I have on the website to call me. I'll give you my direct number in person. (that goes for everybody)
