I will prolly be in this one, if I can figure out some lyrics. Those poo lyrics are lookin' mighty fun, but I can't imagine fitting them to the music I've got so far, which is shaping up to be my most "sensitive" entry yet.

Just change the word rock to china and the word cock to vagina. Then enter under the band name, Pussy Van Dyke. :P

This sounds like a challenge: WHO CAN MAKE THE MOST 'SENSITIVE' SONG?
The downside would be having to listen to a bunch of uber-sappy gheyness.

[edit] Inspired by Anal Cunt's "Picnic of Love" here are some 'sensitive' lyrics:

Baby when you tell me
All your hopes and fears
We cry together, sadly

And honey, when you ask me
To go buy you some tampons
You know I'll do it gladly

You're the strongest woman I know
I respect you for who you are
I bow to you, my queen
(no, you don't look fat in those jeans)

That's all I got so far (I just made those up, just now)

Oh no! Everybody's entering sappy songs, and the one I put together is saptastic. Well, just know that I wrote it before the optional challenge of sappiness was announced.

Ditto.

EDIT: About the no-sappy, that is. Hopefully, the rock, too. Not about the heart-tearing-out.

Well, I thought I would be in for this fight, but as it turns out, I won't, as I will be heading back to calgary tomorrow and my song never turned into anything more than a couple of awesome riffs with some rough lyrical ideas. Secondly, I'm pretty sure that was an excessively long sentence with inappropriate comma usage.

I have a seed of a song but it's not germinating. So I may or may not be in this week. Oh well, what else is new.

Not like anyone's been wondering where I am. But tonight I made progress on this song - my first since "Morning on Bourbon" although I did Nur Ein in there too.

Any way - glad to be throwing my hat back in the ring

I have no idea how to categorize mine - but am surprised that no one has mentioned John Hiatt in this thread

I was wondering where you were.

I hope you have a good excuse for your absence - like you have been on a secret assignment for the government or recovering from gender-reassignment surgery or something.

Shiot.....I just watched the Hohn Jiatt video....I think we totally ripped that guy off on this song...title, backing vox and everything. Blue, I don't think we should enter our diddy this week. I don't want to be known as a plageriseresingadaionga.

Dang, I'm way behind. About 1/4 finished with recording and I still want to work on the lyrics a bit. I hope I'll manage to create something half decent anyway.

I don't think I'm gonna make it. I just don't have alot of energy anymore. Work sucks it out of me.
From spoken word to actual singing, I can screw up any style with style. :D
