Is awesome.
The man has a way with first person story telling, as well as blending historical research, legend and pure fiction that is beautiful.
PLUS!! His insight into human behavior and motivation is astounding. Very honest, detailed writer. I've read 7 of his books in the past 6 months.
The are long, 600-1000 pages each, but well worth it. Start with "The Skystone". It's bloody fucking wonderful.
