The YouTube Symphony

Post by fluffy »

http://youtube.com/symphony

Unfortunately the score selector is a little messed up, in that the dropdown lists quite a few instruments which aren't in the score (and at least in the case of piano it just gives the full orchestral score as a result), and the composer sure loves the time/key signature changes.

I might try putting my glockenspiel to use for once (using the vibraphone part I guess) or maybe try my hand at violin although I think that's my weakest instrument.

You know, I was considering posting "kazoo and skin flute" but then I thought I should leave something for you to say in this thread. I am glad you did not disappoint.

yeah, "becoming" ??

anyway, cool - Tan Dun! you didn't say that's who it was. he does some excellent film scores - Fallen, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, etc. I can't read sheet music, though.

Oh, I didn't mention him since I don't keep up with modern-"classical" composers, and he seemed basically like every pretentious modern composer.
