I don't have stats or anything, but I'm pretty sure the Linux open source community is way better at finding and fixing security holes before they're found by hackers than Microsoft.

What Bill said. Also, I hear it's being done in Austrailia and working out well.

In fact, if it was completely transparent, I would trust an open source voting system more than paper ballots, considering that paper ballots can get "lost" on their way to get counted.

Ok, since you obviously want an argument... here...

It is an honest assertion of our government. Do you doubt the validity of the second statement? Not many people would. So if it is found true, what is the issue with the first statement saying have faith that what you think is true, is true. What I find funny about the statement is, it appears to be a contradiction but in reality it may be true. Maybe that's what bothers you?

Dont even start me on Governments

Ill just upset everyone-there'll be bodies everywhere .....

I find it funny that irrelevant as to who is in power the overall adgenda always stays the same

NAFTA EU etc.
when in opposition parties oppose such treaties
then lo and behold when in power suddenly they are in favour of them
and the ex government now oppose

an the treaty goes through regardless
I find that funny me

needless to say I live under opression in an occupied counrty
but theres no American Jackboots here to save my people

nor would they be wanted

I think you overestimate some of the possible conspirateurs. The freakin' CEO of Diebold said (in public no less) that he was going to to everything he could to deliver the Ohio election to Bush.

Do you seriously believe that you shouldn't listen to a whistleblower until they're dead? Jeffrey Wigand?

Jimmy Carter and James Baker III's COMMISSION ON FEDERAL ELECTION REFORM released their recommendations for voting system overhaul in the US. Did we all miss this announcement, or am I the only one asleep here?
