Thank You SONG FIGHT!!!
Not sure what forum to put this in.
I just wanted to thank Spud and JB and anyone else who helps run Song Fight! for year of inspiration that I was able to turn into music.
Merry Christmas.
As soon as I dig out, I'll be looking forward to another year of titles in 2009.
Chris.

Re: Thank You SONG FIGHT!!!
Agreed! Let me wholeheartedly add my thanks to the pile. I joined Songfight as an experiment to see if having a deadline would help me focus, and wow, did it. And there are benefits I didn't even expect: Having the title chosen for me forces me to be more creative, the feedback I've gotten has been very helpful, and I'm getting to know a lot of amazing people. I can see myself doing this for a long time to come.
So, thanks for keeping this place up and running.

"Merry Christmas," said the Jew.
"Oh, and Happy Chanukkah, too."
Thanks to Spud, JB, and all the other forum mods!
Here's to another year of Songfightin', musically-antagonistic goodness!

Re: Thank You SONG FIGHT!!!
Thank you Song Fight, for without you I probably wouldn't have the motivation to create music.
And Merry Christmas to all.

From spoken word to actual singing, I can screw up any style with style.

Re: Thank You SONG FIGHT!!!
A huge thanks to all the people who keep the concept working, a big ole pat on the back to all the songfighters who hang in there, and an extra special thanks to everyone who has reviewed, endured, and put up with my crap. In return, I can promise that this next year will be the birth of stranger, more creative songs (and reviews!)

Re: Thank You SONG FIGHT!!!
Song Fight! has given me two extremely valuable things. One is that I have deadlines now. Deadlines make me about ten thousand times more productive. The other is that I get reviews from people who aren't afraid of hurting my feelings and who have the knowledge to be able to provide rather more detailed feedback than most people do.
Thank you, Spud and jb, for running the show. Thank you, everybody else, for being part of this community, for expanding my mind in various, mostly musical, ways. Thank you for your comments. Thank you for having established a community of pretty cool people so I don't have to do that.
You rock... and that includes those of you who don't.

Thank you Song Fight! A big thank you to all the great folks that make it happen! And a thank you to the spouses of the folks that make it happen for letting them keep it up!
