Re: Songfight Trivia!
I'm pretty sure J$ was not in that week's fight.
As for Wreckdom's streak, it ran from 4/12/04 to 5/30/05

In that case, I think fluffy was right. I didn't realize WreckdoM were so prolific in their early years.Niveous wrote:I'm pretty sure J$ was not in that week's fight.

Who's the current record-holder for longest streak? I actually don't know.

Re: Songfight Trivia!
Well, that WreckdoM streak is 55, so that's the one to beat.

Re: Songfight Trivia!
Actually, some cursory research shows that you're incorrect. So I now pose it as an actual question for the board:fluffy wrote:Well, that WreckdoM streak is 55, so that's the one to beat.
Who is the current record-holder for longest streak of consecutive Songfight entries?

I think it is The Weakest Suit

Re: Songfight Trivia!
A cookie for Steve Durand!
The Weakest Suit currently holds the record, and the steak is still ongoing. 73 and counting, from his first entry "Clause 5 Sub-Paragraph b)" all the way through "World's Greatest Dad." He hasn't missed one yet, and has also entered numerous side fights. Very prolific.
I'm going to take a break on posing new questions, as fluffy still has a couple that haven't been answered yet.

Re: Songfight Trivia!
Wasn't saying that was the streak to beat, was saying that was the one to find a longer one than to find the longest. Bad choice of words on my part.Generic wrote:Actually, some cursory research shows that you're incorrect.fluffy wrote:Well, that WreckdoM streak is 55, so that's the one to beat.
Steve Durand is a music-making machine. Scary.

Re: Songfight Trivia!
My first thought on the "5-page discussion" question was something like Lightning Ear Fart, or the Diamond Flat Toothpicks, or one of those, but I don't know if we discussed them as much as all that.

Re: Songfight Trivia!
Ooh, was it Catknife Horsebomb's "Bullseye Girl"? I just checked the archives and realized that they preceded LEF by one week.

Re: Songfight Trivia!
I remember the shared-birthday thing being discussed... if I'm not mistaken, it was Blue Lang who coined the phrase.
AND: based solely on the clues given in the previous post (and not a familiarity with the song) I would guess JBB & ADD's "That's the Spirit"
I have no way to listen to it to see if it makes sense as an answer, though.

Re: Songfight Trivia!
I believe that means that all the questions have been answered.
Next question:
To the best of my knowledge*, only once has an instrumental won a fight. Whose song, and what fight?
*If I'm wrong, please call me out on it.

I can't be certain, but I recall someone mentioning that TWICE has an instrumental won... you'd need to confirm this however as I haven't the slightest!
