Why? Does the tempo need to be twice as fast?Paco Del Stinko wrote:Shit yeah! I'd love to see that as well.Furry Pete wrote:I'd love to see you with blue on drums.

My lyrics tend to be aphoristic. To tell you the truth, I don't pay much attention to lyrics -- it took me years to understand what people saw in Bob Dylan. It's weird, because I write for a living (technical writing, which is almost writing anyway).furreypedro wrote:
James Owens - I was trying to listen to get whatever the story was, dunno if maybe I kept drifiting in and out but I didn't get it. Maybe the lyrics are a bit vague for anything specific to be gleaned from them. Is it some kind of commentary on international politics? I hope you can get a Welsh valley choir next time you try this style.
Yes, it's about international politics. At the back of my mind was the recent G8 meeting. But more generally, it's about big plans (world enough and time) that don't show enough experience or common sense to work (reason none nor rhyme). Each verse echoes this opposition. The workers with sweat on their backs know that life can have harsh consequences, and they are lamenting the stupidity of the leaders (hands and faces unravaged by sun, their troubles are only begun).
