I'm up at 4:53am, and looking to see if there's a new Song Fight title. Guess I should do a song for this one.

With the exception of the week fightmaster picked three Beatles titles, this is the first time I can ever recall the Songfight title already having been taken by a band I actually like.

Oh well. Maybe I'll be in? Not sure. Haven't gotten much sleep lately. :P

I'm in.

The drumming is actually quite in time on this one. I surprised myself.

Can anyone give me hints on how to encode into .mpe format?

I will be in. Did the song last night, haven't submitted. May or may not screw with it before the deadline. But I will for sure be in at some point. ^_^
From spoken word to actual singing, I can screw up any style with style. :D

I'm guessing you're going for mp3, not mpe. Am I right?

If so, I use Audacity to convert to mp3. Just make sure you have the LAME Mp3 Encoder before you start. Once you open up your file (I'm assuming it's a wav) in audacity, just click file-->export as mp3. Pretty self explanatory.

Now if you're actually looking to export into .mpe format, there's not much I can do. Because I don't know what a .mpe is.

I'm quite sure Spud made up a new audio encoding format just for this round. Let's ask him.
Or that was just an effect of... wait for it... sleep deprivation.

Has anyone considered the Octothorpesque title-twisting angle and thought about doing a song called "The Who Needs Sleep"?

Indeed. Although in the UK we would say the Who need sleep. interestingly it's not marked as a question, or a sub-clause of a question, so that would be the more accurate interpretation. Maybe (Doctor) Who Needs Sleep (because he's looking tired these days)

I had considered an angle involving a sleep-deprived first baseman.

Or perhaps the 1960s British rock band are considering replacing one of their dead members with mediocre 1980s South Australian Test cricketer, Peter Sleep.

I will not be in - in addition to the fact that I am currently hosting a slumber party for several 9 - year olds. I spent my musical energy this week trying to record towards completion of an album.

I hope all the songs are fabulous.

I'm in with a Wages entry. I got some drums and bass from M.Winter (we have a band called The EAF). We were going to do it as an EAF song, but time and schedules, well, you know. So this entry has a lot of rough edges, but maybe it will be somewhat redeemed by having bass and drums? We intend to finish a proper recording of the song, so you can bet once we do it'll get posted here. :D In the meantime, please be forgiving!
