Cost of living? 8)

I think I'll just do an expense report this week instead of a song.

My paycheck this week was a grand total of 130 dollars. I think I might have material.

I can't help but feel like this title was practically tailor-made for me. Plus, I'm finally done with the principal recording on my album, which means lots of free time!

I'll be in. See y'all there.

I just found a good book of hymns at the second hand shop the other day. Hymns are cool.

I'm gonna write a hymn this week.

Hello everyone.

Forgive me father. It is five years since my last songfight. And I've hardly committed any musical sins, so I thought the old place might get me going again.

I'm writing this by way of making a promise to finish a song for once. So, hello, hello again to anyone who remembers me, and see you in a few days.

Working on a "Cost of Living" entry, hope we get it done in time. Finished "She Already Knows" too late, but if you would like to take a listen, check it out

I was going to write a disco song. It was going to be about the cost to the health care system of medicating baby boomers:

(EDIT:
Hope I get old before I die
So gimme some of that health care pie )
Show you what I mean about stayin' alive
I'm gonna live to be a hundred and five

(EDIT -- Nancy White gets credit for "Hope I get old before I die")
The chorus was to be, to the tune of the standard schoolyard jeer" (you know, "Bobby's got a girlfriend", that sort of thing) -- the chorus was to be "You're gonna pay it" with the customary disco bump "For me, for me." (How many noticed that jeer in Queen's "We Are the Champions, " by the way?)

But I don't think I can handle the falsetto, and I'm running out of time. So, supremeedible. . . nice lyrics! How do you feel about lyric burglars anyway?

Thanks! I consider lyrics to be the bottleneck in my songwriting (I am trying to write an album at the moment and am finding good lyrics quite hard to come by), so it's good to know someone appreciates them.

As far as I am concerned, lyric burgling is all good fun. Not sure I'd do it myself, but while we're making our music available to all the internets, we might as well allow other netizens to reinterpret our work, for better or worse.

Submitted.

Incorporating the feedback from a "taste test" by individuals who will remain anonymous unless the song gets horrible reviews in which case I will blame it on them.

Thanks, Ross and Heuristics. Nice to be welcomed by two fighters who're always better than me :? .

Spent most of Tuesday recording and editing vocals - before realising the reason they needed all that editing was...they needed re-recording! So that's what Wednesday's for.

It's lucky there's no jobs around, or I'd never get anything done.
