I was considering In Between Days, but it's still just a consideration. I jam with Hoglen tonight, then I should know for sure what, if anything, I'm doing. :)

FWIW I'm buying my 30 acres this morning and will be rather busy, so I can't guarantee either that I will make a good recording OR that I will even find time to make that recording. Soooo, if anyone else wants to do LOVESONGS, go for it. If we double up on it, I think we can safely assume my version will be the lesser of the two. :P

I may try to do it Monday with Hoglen, but it will be done as if I (or we) wrote the song, more than likely. We prob cant spend much time it though cause we're working on other stuff too. If I end up doing it alone, I'll try to make it interesting at least. ;)

OK - my cover of Primary just sent.

I'm off to NZ now, to brave the snow and earthquakes and volcanos and orcs for a week.

This song is totally kicking my ass.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for an on-time completion.

i'm done with all of the programming. that's one chunk of the time consuming stuff. i'm gonna try to nail vocals tomorrow, which will be another chunk. then i just have bass and guitar and that should be relatively quick. i like where it's headed, though. it's not outlandishly different, but it's definitely got its own voice.

I'm sorry if I didn't make myself clear the first time around:
Eric Y. wrote:I have literally zero free time to do anything, so I won't commit to this.
I'd love to be a part of it though.
I've always wanted to record a version of "Wrong Number".
If anybody else wants the song who will actually do it, feel free.
If not, I might eventually get around to it.
Emphasis on the first line ("literally zero free time ... won't commit")
Wishful thinking on the next two ("love to be a part ... always wanted to record")
Repetition for clarity on the line after ("anybody else ... who will actually do it")
In the final line, "eventually" means "well beyond the time-frame of this fight"

Must have missed that post, sorry!
My entry is recorded; trying to do something that has to pass for mastering still.

It's my turn to be the nit-picky one:

So, do we have a time that the songs are due by on the 24th? Or is it just sometime on the 24th in whatever time zone you happen to live in? Given my rate of progress to date, I may need every minute I can get a hold of this week.
