High-larious. Leave it.

Okay, the "stop forum spam" mod was causing problems with a lot of people appearing "banned" (including Ken) so I've removed that. Also the forum version was pretty old and kind of crufty, so I went and just upgraded it and fixed a bunch of other stuff as I went. I didn't bring in the old themes though, since they were also causing problems.

If anyone's having trouble, please just email me and let me know what's going on. This shit is hard to deal with and phpBB sucks and anti-spam mods suck and blah blah blah so I mean if something's broken it isn't on purpose, of course.

That was the most thrill we've gotten around here in a long while.

I'm working fine now, unfortunately for the community. :P

As you mentioned, fluff. The only thing different is that I don't have my old acid green theme. But I have no prob getting used to a new theme. Because unlike MG, I'm not an unreasonable asshole.

Aw man. The green theme was the only one that didn't make me cringe.

But I suppose if it actually does something against all this spam, it will have been worth it.

I lost my skin in this event as well (subsilver2), but I was able to get it back.

Yeah, mostly I removed the old skins because they haven't been updated for a while and so a lot of stuff was broken (polls, etc.). I've added a few in, though, and if you find a particular theme that you want installed feel free to link me to it and I'll install it if it is up-to-date.

That's weird. The stopforumspam.com mods I know for other boards only ban users during registration; they never automatically ban users later on.

not to be all demanding or anything, but could you add back in the tweak that made "a short text to describe your mom" act as a link to songfight.org? and could you add that stuff to the Milky Way Red theme while you're at it?

thanks much!

When I couldn't log on last night, I knew fluffy had to be behind it. I figured that since I keep the iPad and iPhone both with auto-login that I may have a lot of instances of being logged in twice at once. I assume that anti-spam filters hate that, and wanted nothing to do with me. I also know nothing about anything and assume my ass off... But I knew in my heart of hearts that fluffy had to be the mastermind.

Yes it is totally my big master plan to make the forum stop working so that I don't have to administer it anymore, because I would like nothing more than to destroy this community from the inside. Mwahaha, or whatever.

Like Jon mentioned, the green theme was one of the few that didn't suck. If you can bring that back without site issues, please do. I'm using Absolution right now. I don't want to sound negative because I'm on a positive kick right now, but I will say that Absolution is not wonderful.

Other than being extremely red, the Milky Way Red theme at least has the avatar stuff in the proper place over on the left, and the "view active topics" link is there all the time.

Yeah, I like the Milky Way Red. Good call KA. Not sure why they call it Milky Way, but I'm sure they have their reasons.

Also, most importantly, it has the "quick reply" at the bottom. I prefer to use that. Plus it doesn't have smileys at the ready, so I'm not as temped to whore my posts with random emotions. :)

I didn't even know that these "themes" existed... I agree with spud and the superiority of his chosen theme.

Yeah, subsilver2 is pretty good. You can't see who's on or offline at a quick glance. Plus it has the quick reply. But, it's boring. My life is already boring enough. I need bright flashy colors or I might slip into a borecoma. We don't want that, do we?

Like I said, if you find a theme you want installed I will install it. There are a lot of themes out there. Most of them fucking suck. I use subsilver.

By the way, thanks fluffy. It's really cool of you to take charge and dive into phpBB code.
