1. Would you prefer he dressed like the bloke next to him with the dead cat on his head?

2. The weather looks cold - he looks warm.

3. Surely there are other things to criticise Cheney about rather than worrying about his dress sense?
1. No

2. Yes, thats what I thought

3. Amen

whatever. maybe some of you slobs have never heard of protocol, or dressing up to go to church, or a wedding. if you're just trying to stay warm, thats fine, but when you are representing your country at a somber event being watched by billions of people around the world, you don't go dressed like that. would cheney have been offended if someone showed up at his wife's funeral looking like that? no doubt.

I honestly don't think he looks all that bad...really. It might not be the prettiest coat... but I don't think it's 'offensive' looking or all that innapropriate. Besides, maybe there are circumstances in which led him to wearing a slightly not CNN worthy winter coat. I mean, he made the gig..thats the important part. I think it's nit picking yes... no one is asking you to like the guy... but now we are the fashion police? It's not that big of a deal. *SMILEY*

How he looks when he is acting as a representative of the United States is a big deal; people will judge how serious you take an event by how you dress for it.

No, I still have something. Just because he's dressed in muted tones doesn't mean he's dressed appropriately.

I guess I've never been anywhere where it's really cold to know what correct protocol is for those conditions. That photo makes it look like it's really cold - and his dress looks entirely appropriate to me. And since a significant proportion of the billions of people around the world seeing the picture also live in places where it isn't cold - I'm guessing that likewise they also wouldn't really notice anything amiss.

Not that I'm an expert on protocol - I once had dinner at the President of Kiribati's house, got drunk and tried to convince him to come out nightclubbing with me (the Right Honourable President Tito wouldn't be in it) (BTW. I was wearing a Hawaiian shirt - but so was he, so thats OK).

Anyway - I think one should be discerning with what one is critical of with polititians. I mean, the odd bad hat here, the odd headjob there - surely these things can be let slide.

(NB: I have never masturbated in a tree, furiously or otherwise, with either Mr Cheney or Hoblit)

That's not the subject of this thread

(but it may explain the expression on the face of the guy in the fur hat)

People talking about their private parts in public is not cool either

P.S. Cheney doesn't care and there is nothing you can do about it.

Why did the Democrats run a muppet for President? That bloke is one of the strangest, most unnatural looking human beings I've ever seen.

Everything in that article is correct. (excpet using Isreal/pakistan as nuclear threats to america)

He is just a little too skewed by his passion to take seriously. It's almost as he just lost it and blogged it as an article.

I liked that though. That isn't really a critism. Thats about how we all feel now.
