The word is actually analogician. Nice try, though.
So that's the word.
...I don't like it. That way sounds like a magician that is good at hiding things in people's butt. abracadabra...where did it go?

jb, if I didn't see the vid with this song, I would have never given it a second listen. The only reason I did continue to listen is because it sounds like DeVo did the music. Other than that, meh.

But I do have a place in my heart for simplicity AND the ocean. So it did warm me. I'm not going to lie.

I would have to say that a girlfriend and a yorkie are not worth lighting yourself on fire for.... But I do appreciate the petty theft at the end.

You know, Steve Perry is a good cook. I'd have to look it up, but I'm pretty sure he has a restaurant in NorCal where he grew up here in Cali. I saw him on a cooking show. Passionate about his foodz, he be.

"Space Oddity" David Bowie. I've always loved this song, but it's never sounded better than right now. Listening to Bowie instead of working on my Nur Ein song. ... we'll see how that works out...

Baxter Dury's 2011 album "Happy Soup" is a great (late) discovery. Sounds more like Jonah Lumie than his dad most of the time, but it has that cheeky ramshackle rapscallion charm that can only be in the genes.

I don't like his other albums as much, and here's an example (where despite what I just said, he sounds quite a lot like his dad)

Because I saw them live on Tuesday night and they were amazin', I am plugging french electro-surf band La Femme again. They only have an EP and a single out so far but the album's worth of material they played makes me v.excited. Roughly translated, the title means "On The Board" (as in surfboard).

I know Blue hates the vocal on this song, and I kinda get why, but it remains one of the funkiest little bastards I ever heard on songfight this past nine years

NME recently listed their top 20 songs of the year so far and I was pleasantly surprised at how many of them I enjoyed. It included songs by Grimes, Alt-J, Sleigh Bells and this monster of a song by the Death Grips.

"Fineshrine" by Purity Ring is the tastiest bit of synth pop I have ever heard.

If only the sideband compression wasn't so damn in-your-face. Well, in my face, at any rate.

That compression is seriously annoying. Listening on headphones, I had to shut it off before my brain imploded.

Oh btw of course I meant sidechain compression. I was just trying to pretend that I know stuff. Evidently I should stop that.

i recently discovered exuma, a bahamian songwriter from the 70's. he released his first two albums in 1970 and they are something else. the music seems possessed.

several of the songs are about zombies. one song on exuma II actually attempts to bring a man back to life.

here is my favorite song off the two albums: mama loi, papa loi.
