Ahh, yes...we will. I think he's awesome, you hate him... :-) There ain't nothin' gonna change our minds about it.

yeah. hmm. maybe john lennon in lieu of gordon gano. he and billy corgan would probably get along musically and personally.

definitely a better choice... at least the tones and effect choices would be a better match.

Musical Director: Zappa.
Wynton would never go for that. He might enjoy his playing, but I doubt he'd work under him. Even dead.

Now...John, Paul, George, Ringo...wouldn't that be cool!
I had a student once who thought the Beatles were Paul's old backing band.

I picked Lars Ulrich because he would be a good fit to my particular dream band. I don't understand why ya'll think he is no good or 'weak'. This guy is precise, automatic, and has incredible endurance. Have any of ya'll actually been to a Metallica concert? He is really quite good. I'm not saying he's the best drummer ever or anything..but he is GOOD and he would be a perfect fit.

I don't know the difference between violin and fiddle, but I would wager that Hoblit would tell you that Charlie plays fiddle... and not violin.

ROCK!

Hindsight on my dream band, now that I can put some real thought into it instead of slapping one together while at work

Vocals: Cedric Bixler
Guitar: Meegs Rascon
Guitar: Jonny Greenwood
Bass: Melissa Auf De Mar
Drums: Dominic Howard
Cello: Melora Creager

The sounds would be frighteningly beautiful.

difference between a fiddle and a violin:

no one minds if you spill beer on a fiddle

if you're selling it, its a violin.

Personally, I think my band would sound deadly together. Frank Zappa calling the shots?? holy shit, it would be a total mind fuck.

Plus they'd fire my ass for not being able to read the 11/32 + 7/8 charts...

...me and Kirk.

Then we'd start a rival band....with me moving to bass, Master Bonham on the skins, we'd steal Mike Patton from those other two projects, (cause we had better pornstars flocking to our shows), and we'd get Jack Shite on mandolin and kazoos, and our lead singers would consist of these hot japanese blonde triplets screaming incoherently while Ringo Starr would wander aimlessly about mumbling about how Koo Stark is not his relative, it's STARKEY!!! STARKEY!!!

i saw Return to Forever once years ago.

Chick Corea - Keyboards
Stanley Clarke - Bass
Al DiMeola - Guitar
Lenny White - Drums

which probably doesn't mean much unless you like jazz fusion.

oh, and i saw Oysterhead too!

Stewart Copeland - drums
Les Claypool - bass
Trey Anastacio - guitar

that was tres fun!

Boing.

On paper, Oysterhead should have been the single greatest band in history.
