I'm in.

Miss Piggy has never sounded like such a hard-core slut!

Just kidding.

I hated today, I like writing much better than I like the rest of the process. i hope the song comes through.

Me too! Probably wouldn't be as bad if you had more time. And a producer and sound engineer. And maybe a caterer. Good luck! Can't wait to here your song.

The final 2 songs will be officially up around 1PM EST. (My job is being a pain today)

Unofficially, they are uploaded already and aren't hidden well.

CLARIFICATION REQUIRED

WSA are confuzzled - do all 5 of us have a vote, or do we have one vote between the whole band?

Thank you!

In years past, Erin and I have shared a vote. So, my guess is that you all share one vote. But, I am not a judge, so don't consider that as a definitive answer of course.

Not sure if votes are posted or emailed in, but I'll give my 2 cents here. Al's got the flu, so he's given me his 1/2 vote by proxy.

Damn good songs. First listen went to Frankie with the rhyme scheme and word interplay.
2nd listening the needle tipped to Ross and the allegory that just doesn't get old with starts and stops in the narrative.

BYD votes for Ross as this year's Nur Ein champion, but just by a whisker. Both are worthy, but Ross's song kept popping out nuances on repeated plays.

You're not supposed to listen to the songs twice. You have to change your vote.

Well, I'd like to see a Frankie Big Face / Ross Durand supergroup!

Infectious folk-pop with a gritty twang. Yeah... that would be awesome.

I'm actually in Cincinnati right now serving as an AP Music test reader. I'm about to begin listening to and scoring the same sight-singing exercise eight hours a day for seven days straight! Later in the month, I'm heading to Toronto for a few days and then driving to Seattle for some music festival in July.

I actually haven't heard your song yet---sorry. I'm looking forward to hearing it on my lunch break. Nut Ein!!!!!!!

Nice, AP grading. Someday I'll do that for AP Environmental, but with my kids the travel just hasn't been a good idea. I wonder what your tune would have sounded like if you had done this grading a week when you had to write.

I admit I have not heard yours, either. As I said in one of my reviews, I've not listened much during rounds this ein, mostly feeling I would just find it discouraging. Same applies here, don't want to spend the next 18 hours in my head too much, if you know what I mean. But I do look forward to hearing your tune, your stuff is always so good, especially this Ein, I think.

Based on the small number of comments, sounds like we gave them a decent final :-)

Ross, you did the west coast proud. Not sure how things will tally up, but both songs are great in their own ways. ;)
