I just got all overjoyed and scared the cat being squeaky over the title coming out. <- (4 smileys)

Well, there wasn't any frightening of the felines around here, but I've got my tune. Insomnia: make it work for you.

Mine came to me during the morning run. But there's a lot of blame to go around. <- (confused geek and a light bulb)

We have the whole week to write our live fight songs? Eh, I'm sure I'll still write mine Saturday afternoon.

I packed a rolly-bag this morning. Now there's no turning back. Can't forget binoculars, GPS, meds...

Three Songfighters have arrived so far. Mad Dog arrived from Sacramento on July 4, fluffy arrived from San Francisco last night, and Crash arrived from Hong Kong tonight. With Spud and Mike already in town, Octothorpe has a full house. Oh yeah, Mike, will you play with us? Thanks. SPUD

I'm arriving late tonight.
Out of curiosity, Spud, were you planning on making your practice space available for other people's use? It's not absolutely necessary, though I'd appreciate being able to run through my set on the actual keyboard you're bringing.

Oh, sure. Make sure you have a copy of the chord charts for me - I've lost mine and I don't think I remember how to play any of the songs...Spud wrote:Oh yeah, Mike, will you play with us? Thanks. SPUD

I also arrive late night, with JB and his lovely wife, Dorie. (It's a small world, especially when you live in the same city and want direct flights across the country.) All packed, just running around like a little kid on Christmas Eve making all the last-minute preparations.
... Was there talk, mention or any other kind of communication about a live stream of the shows? Or at least recording thereof? I've had several people go "Ooooh, that's neat!" but are unable to come physically.

Sitting with the singer/producer Steve Tyrell on the flight talking about the business. Might go hear him Sunday night at Jazz Alley, where he's playing the weekend. Very sweet guy. Said he might show up after the show Sat!

yes please. Our trip to Seattle got turned into a move to New Brunswick, so it'd be awesome to be there virtually. Or at least vicariously.... Was there talk, mention or any other kind of communication about a live stream of the shows? Or at least recording thereof?

Spud, I PM'd you twice about rehearsal time and did not hear back. I also texted you moments ago. Are you avoiding me?!
Edit: okay, actually maybe I Facebook messaged you or emailed you. I can't find any SFMB PMs regarding rehearsal. I'm interested in a time slot right before Roy. 12:30-2:30 or 1:00-2:30 if two hours is too much.

Re: Song Fight Live! 2012, Seattle, July
I thought I would rent a car and drive down to Spud's place while Dre is at work, but the Enterprise rental here doesn't actually have the cars their website says they do, so I'm stuck for a few hour.

Hay guys I'm downtown. Who wants to get food and drink tonight?
If I had a dollar for every one of my songs j$ has called a 90s pastiche, I'd have $1 for every song I've written.
