Re: 10th Annual Gift of Music
I was every bit the procrastibater on this project. Ugh.
Nonetheless, everything's recorded and I now begin the slop-to-song process. I have every intention of being in by the time Niv wakes up tomorrow.

All right, I am in. And look, not only is it still 2/10 at my house, it's even still 2/10 at Niv's (at least for 12 more minutes). Nope, no procrastination here.

I believe the best emo comes in the final hour. Even if we suck, the feeling of desperation is delivered.

oh yeah. I got mine in-in too. I forgot to say when I emailed My husband makes an appearance, and another guest who has deep announce-y voice (Dave Leigh). Mine was difficult and entertaining for me, if not for everyone else!

Here you go! Let me know if there's any mixups. I tried to test all the songs and double check everything, but you know how things go.

Woooooo hoooo! Can't wait to listen to all these! Niveous, you tackled what I consider to be the most ambitious song on my list and did a lovely job! Thank you so much, this makes my day!

Glad you liked it, Anti-M! You've been a part of the wacky ride that has been my songfight career. I'm happy I could say a little thanks by doing a song for you.
Mike Lamb, thanks again for hosting and doing all the web work. It came out awesome.

I went back and looked at what songs I chose....Billy's Little Trip wrote:I like my giftee's picks quite a lot. The one I like best and want to do has one word in it I don't like. I'm funny this way. One simple damn word can make me dislike an entire perfectly awesome song. In this case, the word is in the chorus. So I have to keep saying it. It's not a bad word, nor racist or anything like that. It's a word that will make me sound like an old lame dorky man. Like yelling at kids to get off my lawn. ....in a non sarcastic way.
....maybe if I sing the song in a Humphrey Bogart voice, I'll feel better about it. I'll be all.....

Glad you like our track!
We love the shit out of your version of Ava Adore. I definitely like it better than the original. Brilliant, taking it so dark, it deserved that.

Wow, thank you, Em! You nailed it! I was listening thinking, I bet she is going to keep it acoustic, then BAM, you rocked it. I love it!
Who's playing lead guitar? Sounds very familiar.

Oh crap, I'm realizing that this is mastered very very low. I might try to fix that. Glad you enjoyed it in any case!Billy's Little Trip wrote:Wow, thank you, Em! You nailed it! I was listening thinking, I bet she is going to keep it acoustic, then BAM, you rocked it. I love it!

That's Shanghai Mo over there on lead wank duty. Wanking of that caliber is not in my skill set.

Re: 10th Annual Gift of Music
Den, I wanna cuddle thrash the hell out of you right now. This is pretty epic. Doing Ninja High School is a pretty herculean task on its own. There's like three different versions of this song out there and it's got crazy lyrics and screaming and multiple voices and chants that people (including me) at wrestling shows. You took it and make it crazier, reminding me of 80's New Wave artpop (like "This is Ponderous" by 2nu). Plus you added some Lemongrab. Awesome. Thank you so much.
