Re: An explosive pre-fight thread
A WWII ballad about the exploits of RAF Air Marshall Sir Arthur (Art) "Bomber" Harris seems to be the obvious response here.

Re: An explosive pre-fight thread
Maybe the title is a typo. Shouldn't there be an "F" in it?

Re: An explosive pre-fight thread
Anybody recognize what this refers to, or am I being too obscure (again)? Too many different styles of clip art?

Re: An explosive pre-fight thread
I was really excited about this whole idea, then I spent all the time I had this past weekend on my Talking Heads cover and also got a cold, so, I'm probably not going to be in any of the entries. But I'm very much looking forward to seeing who comes out of the woodwork for this.

Re: An explosive pre-fight thread
I'll definitely be in. I could upload the track now, but knowing me, I'd just mess with it some more and re-submit it half a dozen times, so I'll wait.
I did not meet the optional challenge.
(EDIT) I'm in.

Re: An explosive pre-fight thread
In as in can be. Optional challenge accepted.
I had some fun with this. I wrote my song as guy and guitar, but it ended up going in kind of a different direction. It's kind of rough, but it's my first time doing something like this. Not an excuse, just two conjoined statements.

Re: An explosive pre-fight thread
Apparently I can't edit my profile until I've posted a few times. This seems to be as good a place as any.
So, er, boom.
Looking forward to hearing the other entries and making mock of them.

wail away o sirens of critiqueitude. punishment awaits as i did NOT use autotune. alas, this poor tune took less than the full 24 hours to conceive and deliver, thus your pain is destined to be severe ...

I also did the optional challenge, though I should probably get bonus points for writing and recording in 24 minutes.

Re: An explosive pre-fight thread
*cringes at the thought of 'last minute' optional challenge songs recorded on inferior mediums.
I got mine in but I did not get as much time to produce the song as I would have liked. So the production suffers just a little but I think it is a passable work.
Looking forward to getting beat by superior songfighters coming out of the woodwork.

I'm in. I inadvertently accepted the optional challenge since I only saw the title and due date yesterday afternoon.
