I'll see if Captain and Tennille will help me with this one. It's got that feel written all over it.

Is this effectively the live fight or will that be handled separately? Seems to be some overlap...

Re: All you need is to write a song (pre-fight)
Yeah, what will happen with the live fight? Will we use this title? I thought normally the live fight title was due some time shortly after the live fight, so people had time to get ahold of the live recordings from the live fight to submit, and/or record studio versions? Or will there be a new title posted before the live fight? That won't really leave anybody much time to write a song for the live fight if so.

Re: All you need is to write a song (pre-fight)
I humbly suggest you announce the Live Fight title on the 11th, and have it due on the 21st.
Yes there will be a couple of days where there are 2 active fights. Sounds great to me.

We're in, with a few surprises. Whoever can find the easter eggs (five) will get a special surprise, along with the earworm! Actually, you'll *all* get a special surprise upon listening! Scrote's in your head this fight! We're not quite finished yet, but pretty excited about this one!

Re: UPDATED: All you need is to write a song (pre-fight)
I wrote something for this challenge, but damn it, it turned out to a cheesy acoustic pop love song. I really want to put bass and drums in but they don't seem to go, so far. How the hell does that happen!? I guess I have go the way the song leads me. Maybe I'll enter a fast punk ditty under a different group name. Like the altered personality to this song.
It's in the hole! It's in the hole!!
Re: UPDATED: All you need is to write a song (pre-fight)
Hey Songfighters! I just submitted my first tune in a long, long time. There was a convergence of factors at play here, not the least of which was a recent thread asking where I'd gone. It's nice to be remembered. Not sure I'm in top form these days, but it's nice to be back. Looking forward to everyone's entries!

Melvin! Good to see your smiling post. Looking forward to hearing what time away changed in your style, if any. Of course Rone will bust a virtual nut no matter what.

Ha! We were just discussing how the title certainly lends itself to the cheesy pop loveliness.wadewalbrun wrote:I wrote something for this challenge, but damn it, it turned out to a cheesy acoustic pop love song.
If you care to e-mail me what you've got, I'd be happy to throw some drums/bass around it, see what happens.
In the meanwhile, WB Melvin!
...and the Entry of the Fish is another nice "idm*" groove - 5 or so minutes, repetitive in an enjoyable way, built for headphone enjoyment, so, I hope you do! One easter egg, the finder to whom the secret of the track shall be imparted!
Good to be back!

Just submitted...

I'm in again this week after having started my song at 8 last night and finished at 3:30 this morning. I need to start finding inspiration earlier in the week.
Good to see Melvin back too.

Brown Word and the Big Whine is in. All I Ever Needed... were some lyrics, er, human lyrics. Loss of time and a preponderance of technical ineptitude mean I've produced an "instrumental" number, so you will just have to settle with this weak connection between BWATBW's song and the title. But it was fun to work on and I'm interested to see what you fine people think about it.

I'm in, btw. You all owe me a thank you. I wrote a song the first night but wrote another one and recorded it instead. If you'd heard the first one you'd understand why you should thank me. (Remember that no matter what you think of my entry.)
