The grim reality is the deadline for this song passed almost two weeks ago. There is no winner. Go out Shopping, or something.

We just put in our first song, but how long is too long? I didn't see a length restriction. Thanks

There are not any song length restrictions. This is a competition, tho. Your song should sound complete and finished, but not aimless or too repetitive. For "No Take Backs" lengths were between 1:01 (prob too short) and 5:56 (prob too long).
If you're like me, singing pitch problems at times, and not a virtuoso instrumentalist, aim for shorter :) 2:30-3:00

It was 3:26, with intro, outro, a couple choruses and two people singing. Should I post the lyrics here?

Any discussion on song length immediately makes me think of Ben Krieger's legendary Robot Candidate and Cable Beach entries.

Post lyrics in the "Ye Olde Lyric Archive" forum.

One time after Coltrane had taken yet another 10 minute solo, Miles Davis went up to him and asked why he couldn't keep it more concise. Coltrane told Miles that "that's how long it took to say what I had to say." Miles listened, thought about it for moment, then nodded and walked away.
