Within Your Reach

it has everything to do with the use in the Say Anything Soundtrack.

I thought you had to be from Minneapolis to love the Replacements. They're okay, I like some songs.
Phillipso, Older Brothers, Semolina Pilchards, Zipline , Thank Glennny for the Frisbee, The Odoriferous Valley, The Worldly Self Assurance, Berkeley Social Scene, Very Gentle Knives, Daddy Bop Swing Set, GUNS, The Kraken Lives, Cavedwellers

You don't have to be from Minneapolis to love the Mats, you just have to love brilliant losers. One of the best bands from the 80s, and one of my favorite bands ever. Honorable mention to Androgynous, Skyway, Johnny's Gonna Die, and If Only You Were Lonely but I'm going to have to go with Sixteen Blue, which is damn near perfect. The solo at the end should remind folks what a mad genius Bob Stinson was.

Honorable mention to When It Began, I'll Be You, and Alex Chilton (and it was super close with all these picks)

My favorite is Bastards of Young
