I'm against the whole skipping thing (cuz it means no one is going to cover my songs dammit).
From spoken word to actual singing, I can screw up any style with style. :D

you don't know that, Rone. I'm still hoping someone is going to land on my 'Art Bomb' and go "YESSSSSS... Best day EVER!" (this is not going to happen).

Alright! Here's what I got for you:

Haven't forgotten this. I WILL do it. Have even written lyrics down (at least, the best I can decipher out of Hoblit's drawl)

Wow Lunkhead!
Paco is one of my favorite artists and you really did him justice!
I very much agree with Ken's comment, we need to get you to be this zany with your vocals more often, they sound fantastic!

well done!

As a cross-promotional gimmick, I've added a new bonus:

SomeSongs Bonus: if you post your cover on SomeSongs, you get half a point bonus (contact me if you need help getting in to your old SomeSongs account, if you had one)

Thanks Ken and Glen for the comments on my cover. Glen, I thought you in particular would enjoy it. It's funny, Erin said basically the same things about my singing in it. Maybe I'm destined to have a Paco tribute band...?

I'm too proud to use any of my skips (unless I get something I was already part of). We'll see how long that lasts. Alright, blowing on my fingertips, let's get a Rone song, shaking the mouse, Rone song, and.... Hit me, Randommaster!

@ DJ Ranger Den. Your Art Bomb is beautiful. I don't have the skill to make it sound better.

@ Sam/ Lunkhead: So with the new skip rules, do you just want to hit us with 6 choices, and let us decide which one[s] we want? I'm busy with 50/90 right now, but go ahead, hit me and I might get to it eventually.

I like presenting the songs one at a time. That way, even though you can skip more songs without a penalty, there is still the aspect of it being a gamble. Maybe you will skip and just get worse songs and you'll be stuck with the last/worst one. If I put up all the songs at once then people can evaluate them all and pick the one they want to do regardless of the order that they came up. It sounds too easy. ;)

So, here's one for you, and it's actually a pretty good song so you got lucky, IMHO. ;)

It could always be like Cards Against Humanity. You have a deck of 6 at all times, and then you have to choose the one to do next, or you can lose points by throwing ALL of them out.

OK tuuur, here you go:

Sounds to me like a decent guy/guitar song that could benefit a lot from a cover. Good luck!

Sorry this took so long. I love the mighty Marcus Kellis, obviously and my anxiety of influence meant I ended up writing a new song around the original, changing the words and sampling MK as an accidental backing vocalist - is it a cover or is it a new song? I hope both ...

Cool treatment of the song! You're up on the board.

https://geneticmail.com/sam/rsfc/

It looks like this fight predates the current lyric archive, and I don't see that you posted the lyrics. Or did I miss it? I was just checking if you got the Chumpy bonus or not.

Oh, sorry, I forgot all about the chumpy bonus! Here are the words (rather than starting a new thread)

Sorry, I’m so sorry - sorry for that awful hairdo

Who cut your hair? Was it your mum?
Who cut your hair? Puddding bowl dumb, so I’m

Sorry, sorry -sorry that you look like you do
Sorry, I’m so sorry that you let someone do that to you

Who cut your hair? Did they say it was cool?
Who cut your hair? Made you look like a tool!
Who cut your hair? Why does it matter?
Cut it to shreds - You look like Blackadder

That’s not going to get you screwed x2

Sorry, I’m so sorry, but something clearly isn’t quite right
Sorry, I’m so sorry, did they do that to your hair out of spite?

Truth And Regret made a great song, even if it is basically "With or Without You" with a new melody. I wish I could do it justice, but this has forced me to realize how relatively pitiful my production skills are.

No Chumpy bonus for me, the lyrics are already in the archive.

Ah, well the Chumpy bonus is for adding the original song's lyrics to the Lyric Archive section of the boards, which in this case would mean adding a new thread there for that old fight and posting the original's there.

Nice job! You're a covering machine. The leaderboard has been updated.
