Here's a rarity... a song I wrote without any kinds of prompts (such as Song Fight or RPM)...

Me n' Glenn Case made a song for his new album. It goes out to all the little nerd boys and girls who never got over their first.

Lately I've been making a lot of music and sound effects for game jams. Here's the stuff I made for several games in Global Game Jam 2016:
and this past weekend for Ludum Dare I focused my efforts on a single game (that I also designed):

Re: hey listen to my new song (thread)
It's been a while, so I don't remember: Is this also the appropriate thread for new albums?
I released a new album today called "Noble Stuff" that is available through most online retailers and streaming services, but I'll just focus on one of the songs from that album:
I was (and am) thrilled to have collaborated with Sum on this.

Re: hey listen to my new song (thread)
Howdy,
I wrote most of this song last year at the start of the 'Circle of Titles', thinking it would be a good challenging title to give to somebody, since it's weird and highly technical. I thought, how hard could it be to write a song with this title? Turns out not that hard, we finished it up last weekend after it spent some time languishing in our back catalog.

Re: hey listen to my new song (thread)
A pre-election angst song.
The Afterparty
I’m freaking out, I can't stand the suspense
Eyes buggin’ out, jaw clenched muscles tense
I hate surprises, always be prepared
Waiting waiting waiting waiting, pulling out my hair
Meet me at the afterparty. I’m skipping out
I’ll meet you at the afterparty, fuck this stupid doubt
I abdicate the burden of from here and now to then
Bake my paranoia in a casserole of Zen
Eyelids won’t stop twitching, oh dear Jesus, make it stop
Head’s a pale balloon, just one sharp shock to pop
Right leg taps the rhythm, of our mutual demise
Left one lost all feeling waiting for the big surprise
The smell of dryer sheets, the sound of nothing due
The first full day of Summer and a sky chock full of blue
I keep them close at hand, they help take off the edge
Make it not so tempting to step up on the ledge
Meet me at the afterparty. I’m skipping out
I’ll meet you at the afterparty, fuck this stupid doubt
I abdicate the burden of from here and now to then
Bake my paranoia in a casserole of Zen

Re: hey listen to my new song (thread)
new song from LW | RG, this one was inspired by the TV show "The Good Place" (originally called "The Ballad of Fake Eleanor"). we're currently working on finishing up our very first album. this song won't be on it because it's too new, but it might show up as a b-side or we might save it for a future record.
I know I don’t belong here

Please don’t send me away

All my life I’ve been a hater
All my life I’ve been alone
All my life I always wanted
All my life to be this way

Crossposting this non-fight song that started as a fight entry and became a protest song instead.

Re: hey listen to my new song (thread)
I released an album on Bandcamp at the end of November as Dead Ambassadors. It has one song from songfight "Do You Have A Plan." It was written and recorded in two days. I spent several hours over the following two weeks mixing it. It is basically a failed attempt at an album in a day.
I am also working on another release that features quite a few songfight tunes mainly from about a year ago (or just over) including Get The War On, Meat Grinder and several others. If you aren't opposed to libertarian politics and motorcycles in songs then feel free to follow on fb (I'm not really pushing it, so don't feel obligated.)

I put together an album from stuff I've written over the past few years. There are a few Songfight tracks on there, including an entirely new version of a song I did way back in 2011 (If I Had One), as well as songs that just haven't found a home before that saw me exploring pop structure (The Mall and Mister Jeffries), fixed form poetry (Run Together, Everlasting), and holiday carols (Turkey and Labor Day), plus just goofing around.

Maybe not the right place to post this; but here's a video-gram of a cover that I and the mighty K Anderson made. Marvel at the cheek! Marvel at how old, fat and grey I am. Just marvel at "Happy Days" done sad. (also my 'acting' - I missed a vocation)!
Please do like it, if you like it! Don't if you don't! j$

I finished an album in April that I keep forgetting to tell people about.

It includes (variously reworked versions of) five Songfight entries, one Circle of Titles entry, and five songs I came up with all by myself.
Enjoy!
