"Hugs" by Chucklehead
Paco and I collaborated on a song for the "Hugs" fight, but unfortunately we didn't have it done in time to enter it. (We would have entered as "Chucklehead".) We're both excited with the result though and wanted to share it. It's written from the perspective of a face hugger from the Alien movie series. Enjoy!(?)

I love it! *swoon*
The latter bridge "I once had a thing for a girl named ripply" was great. I also liked the Elfman 'esq chord progression. I didn't hate the keys either.

Thanks BLT! Maybe we can coax you out of retirement for a collab?
Also it's "Ripley" not "ripply", as in, Ellen Ripley, Sigourney Weaver's character from the Alien movie series.

Re: "Hugs" by Chucklehead
Going through some old posts and saw this title and got excited that the local Boston band 'Chucklehead' was in SF!
I was tangentially involved with their 1990 video - great band with a neat horn section, and they reformed a while back - they also put everything they've done up on the internet archive, including a ton of live performances.
I found this on an old tape I had stashed in an attic, and it was actually their first video - talk about minds being blown. Directed by Hadeel Reda while she was an undergrad at Emerson College before she started producing films.

Haha! That song and video are rad. Paco, we should do another collab! We've got a lot to live up with that band name apparently. Although I suspect we have the best song ever made written from the perspective of a facehugger.

Is there any other perspective, really? Yeah, we should do something, and I live close enough to the city that if they give us any shit, you know...meet me outside.

Haha, wow, what lead to folks resurrecting this old thread? I'm totally game to collab with Paco again, it was so much fun and I really enjoy that song. What do you think, Paco? The timing is maybe not great with Thanksgiving next week etc. but maybe in the new year?

Sure, I'd love to do it! After the turn of the year would indeed be better, but heck yeah. Better get my chops up to par, too.
