Another Newbie here
Another Newbie here
We've been lost in the maize for years. These children of the corn are ready to fight. Unfortunately, the musical instruments provided by Mother Nature do not record well. We'll try to make do with what we can dig up in this strange world into which we have been thrust.
BTW: Thanks to whoever approved us. He/she emailed that we appear to be human. Oh boy! That's kind.

When you submit your songs, do you also have a place to post your lyrics?

Re: Another Newbie here
Yes, there is a forum just for lyrics. Let's say you've finished your lyrics for High School Safety Pin Parade and you're ready to post them, you go to that forum, and if there is already a topic created for the fight, you reply to that topic with your lyrics. If the topic doesn't exist yet, you get to create it, and then post your lyrics. Typically people don't start to post their lyrics until the day of the fight deadline.Cornfield wrote:When you submit your songs, do you also have a place to post your lyrics?

Re: Another Newbie here
Our lyrics for HSSPP have fluctuated wildly. We had to Google a lot of terms like "school" to try to figure this out.
Re: Another Newbie here
So, everybody turned their songs in by Wednesday. When do they get posted? More importantly, when is the next topic posted?

Definitely read the FAQ.
http://songfight.org/faq.html
They'll be posted shortly-- ranges from the day of the deadline to a few days after. Not predictable. Learn to enjoy the uncertainty.
Next title is on its own schedule. Note that the next title for the fight after HSSPP has already been posted and there is a preflight thread.
Also note that it is not a "topic", it's a title. The title of the song you are writing. That is a big part of the challenge.

I see you've already noticed that bitching about The Gap is part of the culture here, so good job!

Re: Another Newbie here
We jumped the gap and emailed in an MP3 for Auld Lang Syne today.
