Oh MAN, I know your message was meant for Niveous, but I fully admit to loving the whole New Edition "Heartbreak" album, ESPECIALLY from "Can you stand the rain" to the end of the album.
well hey... there are quite a number of voices in that group, perhaps a songfight all-star collab would work better :D

Glad she dug "Feed the Tree". I don't know that NE song off the top of my head but I'm willing to take a shot. When it comes to covers, I'll try anything (you should hear me rock out "Gangsta's Paradise"). As for "Deaner", I currently have no hosting and it's hindered me from a lot of stuff like SF Radio shows, new album, and "Deaner". But when i finally find an affordable package and Deaner will appear.

Oh yeah or better yet fantastic voyage... actually on second thought please dont once around on that song was enough. I have been thinking of a few songs that would be awesome for you to cover, but between you and Glenn I dont know who I think would have more fun with them.

I think it would be great to hear some

3 strange days- school of fish
monday monday- mama's and the papa's
Daria- Cake
Eight Years Old- Ben Lee
We Don't Mind- Hayden (mostly Niveous, I think this song would be amazing redone by you... if you havent heard it or of him get back to me... I really think this would be a beautiful cover)

I think thats enough for my first post maybe I am getting too full of myself ... if I am someone just tell me please

I dunno if you know the original Lakeside version of that song, which Coolio sort of half-remade (sampled, changed some words, rapped over it), but it's really great funk music.

Hell yeah.

I'm a little bummed that I didn't land on your top 200. couldn't drop one of the three dozen Johnny Cashpoint tunes for "Moscow, Idaho"?

Hmmm... No. I didn't dig your tribute or lambaste of your hometown, except for the solo. C'mon- Midaho?! But I gotta say that you nailed that Pavement cover in the GoM. I hope that's of some solace.

or even Caravan Ray's version of Marcus Kellis's Moscow, Idaho - then we'd both be happy!

Maybe after I get a few projects off the front burner, I can get to this, and a bunch of the other wish list requests. Thanks for thinking I could do good with it though.

Your boyfriend would mind, but otherwise I'd love to visit...

(wow, I accidentally typed "your boyfriend would mine" initially. Freudian slip much?)

(edit: boy, I'm sure pleased as punch that this is the first post on the new page of the thread, which both implicates me of being sort of a gaymo and is unrelated to the thread topic)

My new wish-
Glenn Case and an all-star SF chorus doing System of a Down's "Cigaro".

A wish, to hear Puce, Jute Gyre, and strangely enough Blue, doing Resorte's "Aqui No Es Donde". Although, really, the song already sounds rather like I'd imagine that combination to sound like.

Though in Spanish.

TSI doing Rubber Chicken Lollipop's "Over the Rails" would be sweet too.

I'd like to hear rabid's solo rendition of "La Vie Boheme." Schizophrenia meets psychosis. Now that would be entertaining. Larson would be gigglin in his grave.

I did this live at a local pizza place a couple of years ago; I have a recording already encoded on my MP3 player which is currently (sadly) lacking a power source.

After Xmas, Hostess Mostess will belatedly fulfill about 1/300 of your wishlist.
did this ever get posted anywhere? i love this song and i'd love to hear an H-M rendition...

Funny that you would resurrect this thread because just the other day I was considering making another super list of wishes.

Hey, I just realized looking back at this thread, I did fulfill one. I brought up being able to play "Gangsta's Paradise" and TVIYH emphatically said that he wanted to hear it. And I played it at SF Wayne. Woo hoo. Wish complete.

Heh. Funny how that works, isn't it?

I was actually in the process of working on my page with all of my songs in one place (320 songs at present, but it's not quite done yet), when I needed to know what year I recorded my Jim Croce cover in. The answer was in this thread, and it seemed like time to BUMP it.

I even made a page for all of the cover requests I have gotten. I may not get to any of them, but I love some of the recommendations. There are a few that I would LOVE to do.

I honestly just think it's interesting to see what songs people think that I would do well.

ROCK!
