Hey I'm willing to play two tents. Acoustic Niv isn't dead. He's been busy working on MARS' album but he's willing to come out of hiding for a good cause. And I can probably host a tune or two on New Zero Music if anyone needs.

Yes, this has just been brought to my attention. I don't think it's crashing the MN party, but if people think otherwise, we will shift to accommodate.

Of course there is always a chance for some live-feed action here! Or at the very best some bootleg live mp3 upload action????? :)

I'm down. But since Glenn already said he's down I guess that means I'm down too, since we're MARRIED.

Really sorry to hear of your loss Spud. In a melancholy moment recently I was musing on how much my gear meant to me, even the Jedson guitar I got for nothing and requires a capo to make it play okay.

As for Octofest '05. Count me in as a solo artist, collaborator or part of The Grip. Oh, and I'll get on with ordering that 'thorpe merchandise...

P.S. Do we all have to stay unwashed for the duration of the virtual festival?

Nah, it's one of those sham marriages....like Lisa Marie and MJ. We did it to forward our careers.

Excellent! Glad to have you on board, Marcus! Although given the Kellis Kurse (a week before you're due to visit Octothorpe Studios, all their gear goes missing) perhaps we shouldn't be so quick to sign you up .... *joke*! I'll send you over the details, MK!

i'm sure 90% of the people on here now no longer remember the soulful croonings of a little band called the suzies, but i am trying my hardest to strong-arm patrick into recording an octothorpe cover to submit for the benefit. # has been our favourite band in the world for a long time now, and anything we can give back, we will.

well, at least i will. pat will probably make up some excuse about school work.

Being both one who remembers the Suzies and an Octothorpe fan, all I can say is, "Rock the fuck on."

Yep and now THERE'S a thought that pitches my tent, heh. Been having loads of fun messing around in the Octothorpe ouvre. No Cash Value is "MOS DEF IN!" on this par--tay.

After reading about your recent loss, I have been a notorious slacker in keeping up with threads lately, Still after discovering the thread and impending event-- I wanted to contribute something if only, in my own way-- words of support over the loss of something sentimental and precious. The one thing no one can ever take away from you is your accomplishments.
And you have accomplished MUCH as evidenced by your archive list as well as the outpouring of emotional support from so many of us present in the community. All And even a chance to potentially grow from the experience itself. My best thoughts (and potentially worst lyrical interpretations :::winks:::) are with you, Spud.

Oh Henrietta you beat me to it ... :)

A reminder that Octofest '05 will be opening its doors on Saturday 2nd April ... time to be confirmed, but most likely 7pm CST. We have lots of treats for you, including some fantastic covers, the return of a logntime gone Songfight band, some sexy video footage, and a four song set of exclusive new songs from a British Songfight Supergroup... so be there or in the years to come you'll have to pretend you were ...

A reminder as well to those who haven't got their stuff in yet, that unless we've agreed special dispensation otherwise, deadline for those submissions is tomorrow 7 pm CST. That's April 1st (!) 7 pm CST. So get your SF submission in and then send your Octofest submission over at the same time!

It's going to be good, even if I say so myself. Yay Octothorpe!
