Holy crap! That's awesome!
Let's put her in between Merisan and ken, to give Lunkhead a break?

All the schedule iterations, including the latest one, are fine with me. Thanks again for juggling all of these details.

Aloha. Ladies and gentle-folk.

I do proclaim from the land of Australia that I’ll be landing in Madison 14:17 on Saturday. Projected.

I enjoy complications and I enjoyed the Kermit dance in this thread my dear Fluffy.

Gosh I’ve forgotten how to tag someone and also I keep looking for a LIKE button.

Oh dear. I’m excited tho 👌👌 let’s bust this Crossfit Coke Stand.

Aha hahahahaha I am so in - I’m not quite sure what exactly I just read on that website but I am intrigued 😂

Also I plan on going to see John Mayer in Milwaukee on Tues Aug 6, to further my songcraft - was just gonna get a ticket up the back for $35 if anyone’s interested to come and or drive 😂

I’m only in the states four days for this and possibly that. Couldn’t cancel my Friday night gig here at the Gold Coast (didn’t want to, it was tied to some free publicity I got) so I’ll be leaving Brisbane 10am Saturday and land in Madison four (twenty) hours later 👌👌👌 #winning #samedayservice #amen

Oh holy cow PepperJane! Excitement intensifies!

And yes thank you for all the organizing owl, this is probably the most last-minute schedule chaos I’ve ever seen for SFLive and you’re handling it amazingly well.

Hiiii. Finally chiming in. The Charm Offensive set is probably four songs, maybe five. For your planning purposes it's less than 20 minutes. The current slot is good for me, especially considering I'm still working out a childcare plan for the littlest charmer.

For Micah, we are a husband/wife duo who dust off our songs once a year for SFL earholes only. Sam has my proxy for information that might actually be useful for a host to know/introduce us as I'm on the road and braindead at the moment... Looking forward to seeing/meeting everyone; it's always a good time with the SongFight! family.

Yes, title soon.

How many music stands will there be again? Sorry if that was spelled out already. I could pack one in my carry-on. We might want to have four total if possible.

Also, I have some clip-on battery-powered LED lights, would something like that be helpful for folks being able to actually see their charts...? If so I could pack 1-3 of those.

Gear thread only lists two coming (via owl). I can also bring a music stand if that'd help.

So, does anyone know if the Rigby has wifi? I'll be bringing some streaming gear and it'd be great if I could stream the show live on twitch or whatever.

Hey, so I think it would be good to have some means of communication for just the folks attending, for minutiae like "here's where we are right now, heading over to this other place in 10 mins" or "this is grumpymike's address for the practice space" or "can someone pick up an extra D battery en route to the venue" or whatever.

Do we want to set up a group text situation, Facebook Messenger, Whatsapp, email chain, etc.? What are people's preferences or other suggestions? I tried to make a PM thread here but I'm not allowed, too many people. I think I have most of you but not everyone on Facebook.

Of all the things that everyone's likely to have, email is the least-objectionable to me. I'm willing to do Facebook but not happy about it. I'm not on Whatsapp at all. I am on Discord and Mastodon (and also Twitter although I don't use it much anymore) but I suspect a lot of folks aren't.

Group texting would also be fine but a lot of phones/providers tend to mangle large texting groups in "charming" ways.

OK... let's do this. Anyone who wants to receive updates and/or be able to be contacted whilst in town, could you please PM me the following:

1) your real, full name (and what you'd prefer to be called IRL, if you have a preference)
2) your preferred means of communication
3) the way to get in touch with you (email address, phone number, etc.) via any normal means of communication you're willing to be contacted through (based on what I have available on my phone, I'm counting "normal" as: email, text, Whatsapp, Facebook, Skype, although looks like Whatsapp is already a non-starter.)
4) if you are OK sharing this info with everyone else attending (I can make a Google spreadsheet with the info and invite everyone if you give me your email address)

from the two responses I have so far, it sounds like most likely this will end up being an email chain.

Edited to add: if you'd also like to share the following info, it might help with figuring out logistics and reservations (if we decide that's necessary): arrival time (day and time), departure time, where you are staying, if you'll have your own transportation, if you'll have a +1 with you, any dietary restrictions or things like that.

I am working on a strictly reactive-not-proactive basis as far as any needs for gear, practice space, rides, etc. so if anyone needs something in particular, they will have to speak up :)

I can bring some music stands. Good solid ones, not garbage wire stands. (No offense.)

Yes please! I will gladly leave my garbage wire stand at home! (No offense taken at all.)

For anyone coming to my house: I have a very loving, friendly, but also skittish and protective dog. He needs proper introductions before you try to pet him or make sudden moves near him. After that, he will probably love you and do laps around the house in joy of your presence.
