In with my favourite time signature.
I'm not sure if I'm going to get an art submission in this time. Life got in the way.

Re: Can you guess it? (The Password Is ______ prefight)
Silly me, thinking I'd have time this week to add parts, polish the mix, sing well, and whatnot for the song I wrote on Sunday for this fight. Time isn't an illusion. It's a figment of our imaginations...
So I turned in a basic, rough song with potential, but not a lot of pizzazz. C'est la vie!

Haha well I spent all week dicking around with weird space noises and trying to play real bass (this is my 2nd song with real bass in it!) instead of actually editing my song/arrangement, getting better performances done, or doing anything "right" with the mix, ugh. Sorry in advance. But then it seemed like a waste not to submit it after spending a bunch of time on it, so I'm in too, I guess.
edit: Also just realized we have two songs this week with the word "tenuous" in the lyrics, what are the odds?!
(oh and i did my first cover art submission! I drew a frog)

glad you managed to find some time to get something in for this one! Where did you move/where are you moving? Still nearby?MicahSommer wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2019 10:46 pmMy life has been a little crazy with moving to a new city, my wife starting a new job, and expecting a new baby soon. I've watched a lot of titles come and go, but for this one I actually managed to write a simple little song and then invited a friend to play violin and recorded us in my living room. She transformed the song into something really cool, I think. We are in as Levenhagen-Sommersmith.

We moved in November to Neenah, just south of Appleton. A little farther from Madison but still a doable drive for the right occasion.

Ughhhhhh my mix sounded fine in stereo, but when I listened to it in mono the drums sounded a million miles away. Somehow had some weird phase issues. Re-submitted with that fixed, and praying for Fightmaster leniency.
I'm afraid this one fails on pretty much every level for me. - Jim of Seattle

I've played bass for years but not recently. I've felt like a beginner all week and my bass line sounds like I am. Hahaha! Learning new things, or relearning them, is good though!owl wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 12:28 pmHaha well I spent all week dicking around with weird space noises and trying to play real bass (this is my 2nd song with real bass in it!) instead of actually editing my song/arrangement, getting better performances done, or doing anything "right" with the mix, ugh.
