Jack, that avatar rocks. It also blinks, which, in turn, rocks.

man, they should have picked something that was a phone number at least. They could have spun a little bit more buzz for their show that way.deshead wrote:Heh, fun.

so who's gonna die?
most likely imho.........
jack
possibly. his role on the show has sort of diminished since the early episodes as they've introduced other characters backstories. abrams said it was one of the main characters that gets offed. it would certainly be interesting to see who steps up if they kill off jack.
locke
another obvious choice. he's a loner. he's the sage of the island, who has probably seen the most dramatic change in his life. i could see them killing him off in some sort of battle with the monster. i've read that he seems to be the odds on favorite but i don't think it's locke's time to go yet. he's like the voice of reason on the island, the only one who never loses his cool.
kate
her story is still too unresolved. there's more for her to come, and i think she may assume a more leadership role if the kill jack. i don't think it's kate
sayid
sayid is a main cast member but he's still too peripheral i think. plus they are still developing his storyline with smoking hot babe. don't think so.
charlie
there is no way it's charlie. he's too popular. maybe the most popular on the show. plus, they've alread teased his death. it would be too obvious.
sawyer
i think there's a good chance it might be sawyer. he's still more peripheral, and they always play up his selfishness against the fact that he might not really be a bad guy. he's like bad guy with good heart. i can see him dying in a battle with the monster protecting someone, or maybe saving claire or something
claire
again, no way. she's great eye candy (she's hot pregnant, she'll be even hotter sans baby). and the baby has a role to play here still. my money is against claire.
hurley
again, no way. too popular. not sure how they are going to make him thinner as time goes on. maybe he dies later. but i don't think it's hurley. people love hurley.
the others are all too supporting (abrams said it was one of the main eight cast members). my money is on jack. or sawyer.

Do Jin and Sun not count?
When will this death occur? Scary.
I think they've played out Jack's story as much as it'll go (without getting boring)... and Sawyer's, too, come to think of it.
My money's on Locke, and here's why:
From Episode 13, "Hearts and Minds," which re-ran tonight...
JACK: [nods toward Locke]. What do you think his story is?
CHARLIE: Who? Locke? The guy's a freak of nature. Highly disturbed. Chances are he probably killed all his mates at the post office the day his mum forgot to put a cookie in his lunch tin. That was my first impression, anyway. Then he saved my life.
JACK: So you trust him?
CHARLIE: Trust him? No offense, mate, but if there's one person on this island I would put my absolute faith in to save us all it would be John Locke.

plus, i think locke's storyline still has alot of play within the context of the thing with the numbers that's buried in the ground. locke is one of those rare characters (and the actor playing him is outstanding) that doesn't need to be in every show, or get alot of lines to be memorable. he's like the island rambo. he doesn't have to say alot and when he does, he likes to get all philosophical. he could be eveil, and at first i was sure he was, but now i don't think so. but i also think locke doesn't want to leave the island. i think he's afraid that if he leaves, he will lose his legs again.

good episode last night. i thought the locke back story was pretty well done. i knew that he was being duped for his kidney, and kept thinking maybe complications from the surgery left him disabled. they really haven't explained that part yet.
they are definitely teasing the pending death of someone, and they are dropping hints but i think they are mostly false hints. like sawyer and the "brain tumor", or boone's accident in the plane. i still think the death will come unexpectedly, like everything else this show does. but i think this show definitely left more questions than answers.

All these cliffhangers have been pissing me off since epidode 2. If I don't get some answers soon, well... I'll still watch it. But I won't like it.Bjam wrote:I want some answers. All these cliffhangers are starting to piss me off.

They said: "Lost - 'The Journey' promises to explore the series in a way that will bring new viewers up to date -- but which current viewers will also find illuminating."
I say Bollocks!
This was a loooong trail designed to capture a new audience and nothing more. It thoroughly pissed me off.

yeah, i agree the clips show was really lame. for somebody who hasn't been watching, it might have been ok, but even then it certainly left alot of holes. and they did talk it up like it would reveal more about the island itself, but all we get is some dumb, lameass narration like it's the island talking.
but i think the next 4 episodes are going to be new.
but i think the next 4 episodes are going to be new.
Okay. There's one episode left, and there are 12, count 'em, 12 unanswered questions:
What's up with Walt (psychic powers)?
What's up with Locke's legs?
What's up with Kate (why was she running from the law, why was her Mom afraid of her)?
What's up with the huge monster that ate the pilot?
What's up with the polar bear?
What's up with the numbers?
What's up with Claire's baby (its destiny, etc)?
What's up with the hatch?
What's up with the pirate ship?
What's up with Jack seeing his Dad on the island?
What's up with the Others (are they Danielle's old crew)?
What was up with Ethan?
I want some answers. If they don't give me some answers, I am SO not watching it next season.

this is starting to sound more and more like the x-files.
by the way, a friend told me yesterday that whoever the lead woman is on this show is gonna be in the next x-men movie.
