Is a microphone considered an instrument in the context of this challenge?

If you've got a Copperphone or something crazy like that, I don't see why not 😎

In! Now with 100% less repeat and fade. I don't have any particularly unusual instruments, so I threw in a soprano sax. I figure the alto haters will REALLY hate it.

I'm in (I nearly wasn't). I'm in the UK and saw the date and thought great 9th September I've got bags of time. I checked this morning and before I had a moment thinking 9th January that's odd, I twigged. So I quickly finished it off in my lunch break and chucked in a stylophone solo to try and meet the challenge. I had far too much fun jamming out the guitars in the lead up to attempting to record this "properly".

I'm in with a guest verse feature from the UK and a theremin as my featured instrument!

I didn't even know an electric kazoo was a thing, I'll have to look into that. I made a song a long time ago with a kids toy kazoo from a dollar store, it sounded pretty cool once i put reverb and effects on it.

Sweeney: Yeah, I've had a couple for many years now. I believe they were sold under the name Kazooka. There's a pick-up mounted on top of the diaphragm, and a lead with a 1/4" plug on it. Right into an amp, or whatever. Probably not an everyday instrument, but fun. I just amped and multitracked it, but you could go nuts with delay and all that business.

Looking forward to hearing your Theremin playing!

Brown Word in with tuba and a Gujarati spike violin that refuses to stay in any sort of tune, Chemnitzer concertina you can't really hear, and other assorted noises. Enjoy!

Looking forward to yours as well! I actually just used a theremin vst plugin which i've just downloaded for this fight. I actually do have a real little theremin stuck in a storage unit in atlanta, but this vst is honestly way cooler, you can do so much more with it and it's easier for me to mess with just using a mouse to control it. I looked for a fluba vst at first as it was the first thing i had in mind but couldn't find one anywhere. looking forward to hearing everyone's songs on this one, i hope everyone brought the weirdest instruments they could find!

In for my first fight in a while. My unusual instrument is a Lorenzo Reed Organ. Probably not as strange as some of the other picks but it's an odd little thing and I don't use it that often.

You will hear my electric kazoo...soon...in this song.
But I'm not done yet. Ugh.
And I've always wanted theremin. I don't have.

It's not going to sound all that unusual (mostly just sorta shitty), but my song will feature a one-man-band rig.
