Original Flava Coverfight - Video Edition
Hey All,
I thought we could keep the Song Fight Live Stream fun going by proposing a Coverfight where everyone commits to producing a video to go with their cover. We then premiere all the videos on the Song Fight Youtube Channel.
Here are the details:
For those who are unfamiliar, an Original Flava Coverfight is where Songfighters cover the songs of their fellow Songfighters. The way this works is that folks post here that they're "in." After some period of time, the covermaster (me) will covertly message you with the randomly selected name of someone else who signed up. It's then up to you to pick which of that person's songs you want to put your own unique spin on. Make a video of that song. Submit it by the deadline.
In order to participate in this, you will need to have at least one song, preferably more, present in your artist archive. It's fine to use any artist/band you've materially participated in. Suggest these when post that you are "in."
Relevant dates:
- sign up by Friday October 30th.
- randomized participants PMed out via the board by me as soon as I can after the signup deadline
- VIDEOS due by Monday November 16th
- Livestream on Youtube Saturday November 21st
Sound good?

I am definitely too square for how experimental this is, but I can imagine that if I was in the right state of mind, the section starting at 2:20 might transport me to another dimension - jeffhenderson

Why not. If it gets too hard making a video, I'll just pay someone on Fiverr to make it for me.

Re: Original Flava Coverfight - Video Edition
It has been a few days since anyone signed up. I'm giving this thread a bump to bring it to more folk's attention, but also considered shutting this down early to give everyone more time on their cover/video.

Re: Original Flava Coverfight - Video Edition
Oh geez, I can't let an Original Flava go by without participating. If it's not too late, at least half of Jerkatorium is in:
Jerkatorium
Jerkatorium feat. Micah Sommersmith
Miscellaneous Jerk
Matchy Matchy
(Note: If the cover song and video ends up being generated by only half of Jerkatorium, the cover will be labeled with some new band name TBD.)

In descending order of likelihood you'll find something worth covering:
Micah Sommersmith
Jerkatorium feat. Micah Sommersmith
Levenhagen-Sommersmith
Micah Sommer
If sidefights are allowed, you can also peruse my Nur Ein archive, or my individual albums for SpinTunes 13, 14, 15, or 16.
