That optional challenge is a doozy. Going to have to change my whole workflow.

it's binary though, if you don't follow the optional challenge, that means you have to cheat as much as possible.

I'm curious what people consider cheating. Drum machine? Sampling? Friend flooding? Device flooding? VPN flooding? "Casio Chord"?, Autotune? Rhyming dictionary? Autoharp? basically copying the Jason Mraz song? Using a pre-written instrumental? Performance-enhancing drugs? Cultural appropriation? Not barring your F Chords? Slant rhyme? Keyboard capo so you can solo in C but sing in Eb? Cork in the guitar neck?

Add your favourites! I'm guilty of not barring f chords, slant rhyme, keyboard capo, and drinking beer while writing.

I admit I'm only guessing that it relates to the results of the last fight. Perhaps many votes came from the same ISP. Or the same city. Or something like that.

I choose to assume the flooders felt threatened by the talents of you, me, Brown Word, GD, WreckdoM and Sweeney, based on where they didn't place their second votes. Congrats WreckdoM on the <10 win!

I'm in with a straight ahead rock (post punk?) song under two minutes. So if you hate it you won't have to hate it for long. (Aren't I considerate?)

The Library Dogs are in after having to sit out a couple fights.
I've separated my guitars, changed up the leads mid solo-break and ditched the auto-tune.
Game on.

I've separated my instruments, but it's still crowded in here, and cellos never cover their nose, so...

Yes, it is, but the bearing channel has worn and there are glitches that make it less than perfectly smooth, which is sad ‘cause that was the beauty of being able to glide up or down a major third (I think that was the range...far greater than any others I’ve known) and then snap back completely in tune. Periodically I looked for used ones to salvage the transtrem from but last time i found one (just the transtrem) it was $500! Today I’d probably go for it (provided I land this job I’m hoping for) because it’s so amazing. I bought it new in ‘88 or so, when the GM4T came out. It puts out a beautifully strong and clean signal that’s great for “treatment”, but has little warmth of its own.

Brown Word in and and completely flouted the optional challenge. Just cheating left and right. A regular snake in the grass.

I sent one in, very sloppy. Vacation travel in A.M. for a week. Yay!

Roymond: Love the guitars and super lean workspace. If I showed you my studio, you'd probably have a stroke. Don't want that, man.

GD's in. Once again couldn't find much recording time until the end of the week and once again bit off more than I can comfortably on the vocals! Ah, well.

I submitted, but my song is very clearly unfinished. I imagine I'll get a lot of "why aren't there more vocals" etc. I did this in one night for fun while I was attempting to finish another track, and this will probably (hopefully) be my last submission for a while as I try to finish this record I've been working on. I need to stop writing new songs and finish the ones I've already got! It's been fun doing these :) I like the little community here <3

I'm in. You can tell I didn't cheat on the drums because my timing is worse than any "naturalizer" plugin would ever be. Expanding on my carnival nostalgia. Hoping to get back to VT for fair season
