Flintsteel - The Shape Of Things To Come
a soft sequel to one of my songs from a few spintunes ago, sands of time.
clear as day
i can still remember
twisted steel
rain, and burning embers
never could i have imagined
that i would survive
hear a voice
first its just a whisper
pain subsides
as my charred skin blisters
all thoughts consumed
my worries subsumed
by a choir
angelic, divine
comforting
pure light envelops me
something comes and takes me by the hand
suddenly
a new reality
born of language i cant understand
since that day
my life spent searching
for the source
i am aching, yearning
teach me to speak to the powers
beyond mortal reign
forging fate
for us lesser beings
cant be a dream
i know what ive seen
know ive been saved
plucked from the gates
ive returned
i just want to know why
questioning
who chose this path for me
guided by an omnipresent hand
call to me
in the language i cant speak
but in my heart i know i'll understand

Definitely Not Secretly (Definitely Not Secretly Glennny) - ThunderRiff Mountain and the Gee-tar Slide [SHADOW]
Great practice guys, another good one in the books for a band that is definitely NOT secretly Glennny
Hey what's that? It kinda of looks like a talkbox.
Look, there's a note taped to the back
"Great job getting Second place, Definitely Not Secretly LOSERS, better luck next time. I've kidnapped your precious GLENNNY, whom you claim is not part of your band. NO ONE BELIEVES YOU! If you ever want to see him again, you'll have to bring me the greatest slide guitar LINE DANCE SONG ever made! Let's see if you can do THAT without your precious GLENNNY. I'll be waiting at the peak of ThunderRiff mountain on Tuesday after the listening party, after that, I can't guarantee his safety. HA HA HA HA. I'll be billing you all soon. Billing you all. AUTOCORRECT"
The message ends there...
Tuesday, that's today!
Oh, how evil! They know how much we hate line dances!
Remember, this is for Glennny, you've got to keep it together!
I'm sorry, I just got a bit emotional.
Alright, DNSG Hands in
DEFINITELY!
NOT!
SECRETLY!
We may hate it, but we've got to do it. It's time to rescue a man whom we respect musically but who is definitely not secretly part of this band-
Let's save Glennny!
V1
Got wibby wabby wobbles, don't know what to do
With that itchy gittchy power, pumping up your shoes
Cri cri cri crick a cracka lacka, grooving through your bones
Come on out and dance with me; you don't have to be alone
V2
It's ThundeRiff mountain; and we gotta climb
Won't be lackadaisical; it's too hard to rhyme
So sittle your saddle, giddy your up, and bet you better bootle your boots
If we wanna save Glennny, it won't cost a penny we just gotta get up and move
(I hope you remembered to bootle those boots)
Chorus
Shake it to the left (shake it to the left)
Shuffle to the right (shuffle to the right)
Shimmy like Uncle Jimmy (Shabalabasobab shimmy)
Slide it side to side (Side to Side)
And that's how you do
The Gee-tar slide
V3
Bobble your bubble, then shake like a tree
Make your arms go flippa flappa, and buzz around like a bee
It's ThundeRiff mountain, it's time to climb
If we wanna save Glennny we gotta dance in a line
Shake it to the left (shake it to the left)
Shuffle to the right (shuffle to the right)
Shimmy like Uncle Jimmy (Shabalabasobab shimmy)
Slide it side to side (Side to Side)
Shake it to the left (shake it to the left)
Shuffle to the right (shuffle to the right)
