Community Check-In and Feedback 2024

Post by Lunkhead »

How are folks doing out there? I was reviewing this thread from a couple years ago and thought I was overdue to make new one:

viewtopic.php?t=12257

I think we managed to address many of the things folks brought up last time:

- the Jukebox is back
- we have an official download link on the homepage that includes all the latest songs for the current fight
- we have an official review template link on the homepage that includes all the latest songs for the current fight
- the signature changes for the FM email have maybe helped get new folks to be aware of and sign up for the boards, judging from an admittedly anecdotal increase in folks requesting to have their accounts activated

What should we stop doing? Keep doing? Start doing?

I think we're still facing a frequent scarcity of reviews, and slightly less frequent scarcity of songs even?

Back in 2022 folks said they enjoyed the Instant Bands, and I just wanted to make sure everyone sees that Ken is trying to make that happen again right now:

obviously what we need to do is add direct support for ActivityPub and ATProto so that we can properly federate with Mastodon and Bluesky

/s in case it wasn't obvious

And stubby holders. They are always popular.

Not sure I should be seeing that "Skeleton Extension" at the top of the Forum.
