Is it Bandcamp Friday?

Set up live gigs with each other, announce gigs you're playing around the country or whatever, talk about how the show went, post links to recordings, etc.

I just released a new album and it's on Bandcamp:
https://heuristicsinc.bandcamp.com/albu ... s-prologue
There aren't any Songfight! songs on there, but they're all from FAWM and all were tracks I made using stems from another artist there named zecoop.
And yeah it is Bandcamp Friday.

It's Bandcamp Friday! Erin and I put out our first ever single to the world, outside of Song Fight/Nur Ein/SoundCloud. You can get it on Bandcamp today and listen to it on all the major streaming platforms. It's out 2020 Nur Ein entry for "North Beach Vampires".

Less than two weeks until Bandcamp Friday, 6 September, 2024. It's been a while since the last BC Friday and I have a full cart. How 'bout y'all?

I have a new album out! I wasn't intending to target Bandcamp Friday for this but it ended up being a nice coincidence.

https://sockpuppet.us/album/notions

I will also be filling my cart with a bunch of other peoples' music, as is tradition.

It's Bandcamp Friday tomorrow. I'm preordering an album by a Fawmer and figured I'd mention it if anyone has anything recent or wants to do some shopping.

The next Bandcamp Friday is 5 December. Do we still do that here?

I don't see why we wouldn't.

Also rumor has it that this might be the last one forever and ever. So if there's any songfighter music you've been wanting to maximally support songfighters with the purchase of, this might just be the last time to do it.

Not a rumor:

https://daily.bandcamp.com/features/bandcamp-fridays

But if the artists opt in to the pay more feature, you can always give a few extra bucks to cover the platform fees which really aren't obscene.

In other news (maybe a different thread?) I am a supporter of a bandcamp alternative site (subvert) and apparently it's my turn to upload some music and test the system. Guess I should get on that.

But, yes, let's support indie artists on the 5th!

Yeah I'm also a Subvert member and I'm hoping that the platform does well. There's a bunch of other alternatives that are worth looking at, though, like https://mirlo.space/ which is also cooperatively run and I've been super involved in some of their initiatives, including working with them on trying to build a good streaming ecosystem as well.

BTW that link doesn't say Bandcamp Fridays are ending entirely, just that December 5 is the last one in 2025.

Well, I've decided to start my Bandcamp Friday journey by finally getting around to "releasing" something under my "label", hopefully this will motivate me to continue finishing songs and actually releasing them... anyhow it's just a Single/B-Side of a couple more recent PRF Monthly tracks... https://ujnmusic.bandcamp.com/

I've got some non-single cassette style releases planned for some of my other projects... but I'll probably also be packing some of my other tracks into more Single/B-Side releases as well as those are obviously easier to put together and don't require as many "same genre" tracks to release.

As always I have about 25 years’ worth of releases available, some of which are pretty okay. Lots of them also can be obtained on CD now. https://sockpuppet.bandcamp.com/

As we already discussed, this past one wasn't the last one. Here are the dates for 2026. (I'm assuming the no more bandcamp friday's rumor was just a reaction to them being bought out (again.))

2026 Bandcamp Friday Dates:
• February 6
• March 6
• May 1
• August 7
• September 4
• October 2
• November 6
• December 4

Yep, they hadn't announced it yet. Overall I'm glad to see that they're keeping it going.
