Well, I stand right next to the (Mountains and the Sea reviews)

Post by Pigfarmer Jr »

You call me a mountain
And I call you the sea
I'll stand tall and certain, and watch you swallow me

You can move me, if you want to
You can move a mountain
You can move a mountain

some brief comments:

Spiral Island: This sounds a lot like Not Drowning, Waving – which is good. Are you familiar with David Bridie/NDW? If not, check them out. Vocals a little patchy – both in phrasing and pitch – but not a major problem. Overall – I like it.

Mystic Colossus: Vocal effect is a little weird. Not really grabbing me.

Lonely Socks Club: What is that opening guitar riff? Is that a sample? It sounds very familiar. Very polished and pleasant to listen to – but not really my cup of tea.

Pigfarmer Jr: Very nice. Great sounding guitar. Great mix. Lacking a killer chorus I think – but otherwise – good job.

Distance: Is this SausageBoy? I appreciate the effort – but the <annoying bits : interesting bits> ratio isn’t quite in your favour in this instance.

Pannacotta Army: Nice work. Not much to comment – a very well recorded song that kept my interest throughout. Gotta be happy with that.

Votes to the Army, the Island and the Pig.

I might get off my ass and do reviews this time, maybe. But wanted to mention that "The Army, the Island and the Pig" sounds like a great book title or something.
