When the judges envisioned this challenge, I nicknamed it the "Opposites Attract" challenge. Remember back in the early 90s when Paula Abdul had a hit song with herself and an animated feline called MC Skat Kat?

The challenge here is to make a song which features yourself and a fictional character. We don't want you to make up a character. Pick a character that already exists.

How you put together this collaboration is up to you. Perhaps soundbites. Maybe an impression. Maybe you have a friend who can play the part. That's up to you and your creativity. It doesn't necessarily have to be a duet. Just make it a significant appearance in your song.

When do we find out if the two shadows will be reinstated or not?

When do we find out if the two shadows will be reinstated or not?

I was curious about the rule on that as well. On the web site it says:

"Nur Ein XX experimented with a sharper shadow mechanic: eliminated acts could shadow the next round, and unanimous judges could reinstate a shadowing act in early rounds."

Unanimous was something I thought interesting, but it makes sense if a shadow submitted wasn't judged high enough to make the cut of the next round, then why would you reinstate it just to vote it off? The shadow artist just gets whiplash in that case.

I don't think we'll get clarification until after judging is over, but I'll play all the shadows at the Listening Party tonight.
