j$, i misquoted and misunderstood Heather's "I lied" comment. My bad. I should just keep my fingers off the keys anyway. Luke, I think I love you.

Look, I thought I would have had time to do reviews at the beginning of the week. When I mistakenly asked Hank for a full review, I still thought I would have time to write full reviews myself. I work a full time job, have a 2 and a half year old and I am pregnant. The little time that I am not at work I try to spend with my husband and son, this week was no different, except that I am in my 7th month and am getting tired earlier in the evening.

I did listen to all of the songs. I was trying to save a litte face by posting a couple of the songs I liked this week and why. I felt really guilty (Phil can attest to this) for not doing full reviews, but last night at midnight, I only had a few minutes to jot down some kind words after cleaning the house and doing all of the laundry (remember, real life happens when people step away from their keyboards). I thanked Hank for going back to revisit our song. That was very giving of him and I greatly appreciated it. Thank you Hank. You have every right to again ammend your review of our song. Sorry to have caused such a problem.

Boltoph, your review of our song was also greatly appreciated. I apologize that I didn't have a chance to say anything about your song, I didn't have a chance to say anything about a lot of the songs. But, I did say that

I like to give reviews my full attention, and this time I wasn't able.

Not all of the reviews in this thread included all of the songs. Sorry, again that I asked for another review from Hank. That was inappropriate of me.

Thank you J$ for understanding my "I lied" statement was in reference to the full reviews and not the listening to the whole fight, which I did, and enjoyed very much. If anyone has anymore beef with me, I would rather take care of it via PM as to not clutter up the board with this issue. Thanks!

Oh, fer cryin' out loud.

I can see, if the timeline were reversed, how you'd be "upset."

Like, were she to say "i ain't got time" and then was like "gimme better review."

That's be bad.

But it was the reverse. Sheesh.

Oh... I didn't see you there, dear.

But I didn't quote him of context, I quoted the whole damn post ... and I apologised ... and I explained that it was a bugbear of mine .... *grumble grumble lopes off to feel sorry for himself in a corner and plan his next out-of-context-quoting of Mr the 'Head* :)

Here's to those who set aside an hour or two to write 21 reviews for this fight, and braved the long haul...

And most especially to Deshead: ROK! Back with a vengeance. Such a great song. I get the chorus stuck in my head everytime I think about it. Just a passenger!

Peas!

shucks, I thought songfighters were supposed to get "slagged" when they don't write reviews for the fights they're in. Granted, it's tough to find the time, harder for some than for others of course.
Just go ahead and send me shit via PM if you want, like Phil. Redmon. did.
but above all: keep rockin'

where did you read this?

reviews are nice but by no means are expected. i mean, i'm the biggest damned review cheerleader here, and i have never once slagged anyone personally for not reviewing a fight they were in. the fact that these people submitted a song on any given week is work enough. i wish people would stop thinking of writing reviews as a hassle or a pain in the ass, and make it something worth reading, take some pride in your words and opinion. it's a chance for anyone here to create an impression of themselves and have their say. and the artists really do appreciate it. and artists that submit songs and review too are just that much more special and contribute that much more to the community.

You still owe me an earful of shit. Or shite, perhaps.
I agree with you. I like doing reviews and don't think it's a pain in the ass. I just get a little pissed when someone says they didn't have time, yet is on this board all the time posting other messages. Esp. when they demand reviews from others, get the reviews from the others, and then don't return the favor.

All this said, the Hell Yeahs tune was my number 2 pick. ROK.
There. I'm done. Sorry.

P.S. Thanks HANK and Gampa for rocking out a great Saturday night of posi up in NH.

I think it is an incredible fight! (myself not included) I have no beef with anyone. I'm just psyched that Hank rocked the drums for posi. And that there were some kickass tunes!

I like to give reviews my full attention, and this time I wasn't able.
For the record, anyone who runs out of time and wants to skip listening to my songs, go right ahead. That I will fail to improve in ways that make you happy will not be a burden, as you won't be listening to them anyway.

Actually, I advise most pregnant women to avoid listening to my songs anyway. Well, not all of them. Pretty much just my own wife. But that's because she's so easily amused that I'm afraid her laughter will induce early labor.

Did I mention it's mocking laughter? That's the best kind.

(hi, honey!)

EDIT: I can't believe how many of this week's entries I -loved-. Gee whiz, you kids are tal-en-ted.
